I am trying to merge two Land files but the mission editor just shuts down. Any body have this happen before?

The Mission Editor wants everything "in order and compliant" with the "base" of the game that you are invoking the Mission Editor from. In other words, if you are using GWX as your "base", all of the ship calls have to be GWX compliant before the ME will "merge" two files together. You also CANNOT have two groups / units with the same "Name". The ME should be able to handle all of the renumbering of the headers of the groups for you, but it cannot "number" the Names. I am not aware of any limitations as to how many Groups / Units there are in the files, but ALL of the ships / planes / land units etc. must match in their Class and UnitType "calls". You might also want to make certain that you only have RGG for the RND file, and only Groups and Units in the SCR file. It has been a long while since I did much of any RND and SCR editing in SH3, but I do remember that the ME in SH3 is not as "robust" as the SH4 ME is in that regard. It would probably be a good idea to spreadsheet each of the files, such that you can see all of the Names and UnitType calls, and check those between the two files.

Thanks for the reply prop. I figured out the problem. When setting up LGN1's Tracking room You have to activate the actual mod before trying to merge the files. I finally remembered that. its been awhile.
