Very happy to see more and more updates to the thread - many paid developers who render wartime ships for big gaming companies are nowhere near this skill.

I was recently paying attention to the cargo ships and escorts used in various flight simulators - often, they had weird length-to-width ratios, doors too small, life rings too big, deckhouses too tall/short for real humans, boxy parts, and tons of other problems. Even though "experts" were paid lots of money to design them. In all honesty they cannot hold a candle to the great ships made on subsim ! :up:

Wow, some of the best small ships designed for the series! You can tell they are from the right time period (1900's to 1940's), and length to beam ratios are very good.

So glad people are still interested in making new Silent Hunter units after all these years - these are much better units for the North Sea, etc than the Liberty Ship and C2. In fact, many North Sea ports in the war would have probably been too shallow for loaded C2's - instead, little ships like these with shallow draft would have been used.

Its an issue I found testing with the Norlago small merchant having the same node id's in the .dat file as one of his older OKA (EFC 1020) ship, he re-released Norlago with different id's for the nodes to fix the issue.

Ah ok, i see… numerous ships I have imported to NYGM have sometimes same ID as others ships, not only in dat, but in dsd/sim/Val & zon too… many times have to change them. Always checking before with the tool option fortunately existing.

More optimized (less MB's in size and includes guns mounted), I actually hope he redo all his merchants to make them more smaller in size and guns added to all of them.

Just need the cargoes/crates/vehicles added to the decks now ;)

Beautiful ship! This is exactly the type of late 1910's or early 1920's ordinary cargo ship that Silent Hunter 3 should have had when it was released. I like the lines along the hull where the metal plates are. :yep:
