To make two textures work:
1. Put the textures in the ship folder (name textures - nameship_t01.tga, nameship_t02.tga and etc.)
2. Open the ship file and do as in the picture.

1. Place the skin in "Data/Texture/TNormal/Tex". The size of the skin is not important. I do not recommend 4K skin.
2. Do as the picture shows.

Of course. You have to import 2 models at the same time (ambient + shadows). The second .obj file must have the same name but with a suffix at the end (I don't remember which, maybe _ao)

Very similar. But many ships of that time were similar. It is necessary to look at the dimensions. If you're going to finish your version of the ship, then I don't need your files. If you don't finish your version of the ship, then send the files. And maybe I'll do "Head & Shoulders" (two in one).

For instance, the side of that turret should be sliced into maybe 5-6 pieces, and then triangulated. One neat trick is to use lots of polygons at the corners of a shape, so you get a very sharp, well defined edge with ambient occlusion and/or similar effects.

Unfortunately, all this raises the polygon count but it has to be done to keep the shapes looking neat.

Excellent! Everyone's work here looks really good, and I like that turret a lot. Turrets are very hard to make, often mine look pretty flat...although I am learning, lol ...:up:

I am positively drooling. Great work! :up: I like how you have a keen eye for how ships built between the 1900's and 1940's look. In fact, these models are much better than the ship models I've seen in certain movies, like "Pearl Harbor" and "Lusitania: Murder on the Atlantic." Both of those movies used ships that were way too modern-looking to be correct for the early 20th Century.

I cannot wait for more ships and hope you keep up your interest in modding new types for a very long time.:up:

Прекрасный кораблик. Спасибо за него и предыдущие тоже. Делай побольше советских торговых судов, пожалуйста. Ибо ныне в России проект один замутили, по новому движку для чего-то типа "Сайлента". Движок 64 разрядный и условно бесплатный, платить нужно, только если продажи превысят 1 лям капусты. На новом движке будет новый симулятор, ну я так понял. Будет, правда, не скоро, думаю, что не ранее следующего года. И тогда понадобятся новые советские и германские торговые суда. Насколько кораблики 2 сайлента будут совместимы с новым движком неизвестно, но надеюсь, что все будут совместимы.
У меня корабликов уже более 1100 штук, и собираю ещё и ещё. Потом понадобятся.

By far some of the best ship modeling for the series! I like the variation in details like different types of bridge wings and masts; I can remember that the four mast arrangement for small cargo ships was often used for timber-carrying merchantmen - lots of them were used in the North Sea.

That is a great model - looks just like the pictures I've seen of C-2 types. Lots of them were photographed in service for Moore-McCormack, Lykes Lines, and other US companies w/in brochures and advertisements I have found. They were all very modern, nice-looking ships ... maybe the advertising departments figured they were more photogenic than rusty Hog Island types from WWI...lol.

Anyway - Eagerly await this one and hopefully as many as you can possibly make!! :up:

Beautiful! A swift, sleek modern girl to replace the old "Hog Island" ladies. :haha: The C2's definitely held up nicely to the big new Japanese and British freighters of the time. In fact they were as good-looking and capable as some ships built many decades later.

I see lots of cargo ships in my local harbor and I still prefer the C-2 and C-3 look by far! Very lovely work and I am excited to see what other types you will be producing. :yep:

Wow!! That Hog Islander makes me drool...much better proportioned than the SH4 one which was the wrong width, excellent job. One thing I love about your ships is you always get the length-width proportions correct ... easy to do wrong, and when you do it makes ships look pretty bad. I like the Long Bridge Deck variety of freighter....one of my favorite British 1940s companies (Harrison Co). had a lot of this style. They were good at carrying low density goods like grain and cotton. Unfortunately most of them were sunk during WWII, and the rest were scrapped when the big bulk carriers put them out of business. ....I also notice the rigging and cranes are well detailed.. once again I look forward to more!

For the history fans, from 1907 to 1951 this Danish coaster was registered in Marstal as SS EMANUEL. Unfortunately I couldn't find any info on her WWII history, but we can assume that she fell in German hands during the nazi occupation of Denmark.

I second that, though I think this class was called more properly "Treasury", not "Secretary".

Whatever is the correct class name, those sturdy ships saw an extensive Atlantic service from the initial stages of the war, being employed in a variety of roles, from coastal guard to convoy protection. They were some of the most effective US ASW vessels too.

I am surprised that no one has modelled them before, though the lack of detailed plans with hull lines might be part of the answer.
