Hi SH3 fellows,

I seem to remember having a SH3 HMS York long ago. I'd say the creator of the ship was Gerome73, but I'm not 100% sure.

I've been searching through SH3 megamods, old CDs and DVDs, in Google, and in the Subsim download section, but couldn't find anything. Perhaps someone from this forum can give me a hint or has it in his old downloads archives.

No, the HMS Duke of York is a battleship of the King George V class.

The HMS York is a heavy cruiser.

Yeah, Duke of York is a BB... the York is a Cruiser, can't remember if that was in the Light class or Heavy class of Cruisers though. I do recall it being a Cruiser though. :yep:

That's HMS York indeed :yeah:. Is it the one I remember or something you're building?

It was an 8in cruiser. A cheaper version of the Counties.

I finally found in an old external hard drive the copy I adapted to SH4, but not the original ship.

If somebody has the original SH3 ship it would be nice to upload it somewhere so it doesn't get lost forever.

So, this is a different model from the one shown by VonDos ? Could you add a scrennshot of your version ?

I think it's the same one. After all, HMS York was not a very emblematic ship that everybody wants to model. I don't think there will be many different versions.


After the changes I had done before, this morning I did a few more and arranged a basic skin:

But the basic model is not my work. I think it's Gerome73' job, but I can't confirm because I have lost the original download and don't have the readme file to confirm.

I recently found the SH3 version in itadriver's "Surface Mod".

York was in the mod, but was under "NDD_HuntII". So I restored the files to "NCA_York", and found the original gun files as well.

I also put London and Dorsetshire in there because I also couldn't find them anywhere else (didn't want them to get lost either).
