Hello, when KSD II was introduced in Subsim forum I was amazed by the size and the quality of the modpack. The only thing I disliked is that it was in Russian and because of that it was very hard to understand and get immersed into the game. And while searching the internet I found a forum from where the modpack originated(https://brat01.mybb.by/). With help of web page translator I got more information about the modpack and the team who created this amazing modpack. I discovered that there are even more mods for KSD II. I found great campaign mod Wolfpack (author Lukner). With his mod the game was even more improved. Then I decided to translate the modpack with this mod together. But now after opening and translating over 1000 files I believe I have translated it to English.

Important
I am not author of any these mods and I do not claim their work only the translation. I just want to share it so more people could enjoy this great modpack. If any of the authors or Subsim admins think I have broken a rule of some sorts please contact me.:subsim:



It is slightly akward releasing a mod which needs both forums to use I am sorry for that. Maybe in a future there will be just a big modpack with English language.




How to report bugs.

Due to the massive amounts of texts and files for one person. There is a great possibility of translation mistakes or missing letters. If you find them please report it in this thread. Write a date when you got the message upload a picture or just mention text which has a mistake.

Known bugs:
UAK(training flottila) when spawning in a port submarine could get stuck in the land)
UAK(training flottila) not sure if objectives works needs more testing.
Type IXC/40 wobbly propellers.[SIZE=5][SIZE=3]

I would like to congratulate you for this work which is really impressive .. you can complete it by adding the vickers trad. he will translate the quick mission & war patrol part .. if he agrees which is the case it seems to me .. so there will be more school left to translate which is cool compared to what you already shot .. .really .. and I support all that you have said about the brat01 team which really is by far one of the best Mods I have ever played ... moreover the team is animated by a genuine passion..documentation aplenty ... on Uboats ..

A bigger priority would be is to translate the help section (F1). But I can't because something is wrong with encoding or something.

1 question, rather than in step 2, where you list using the 4GB patch... do you think there would be any issues on instead of using the patch, to run it with LAA (for those NOT familiar with what LAA stands for, it is Large Address Aware, basically a tool to tell your computer to assign any game with 4 GB RAM access rather than it being limited to 2GB RAM. In short, it helps eliminate mostly, the game CTD'ing. I say mostly, as there are other issues that can lead to CTD's, as well. This tool just helps to eliminate CTD's from lack of RAM, as I understand it... :yep:)

Am fairly confident that using LAA should be acceptable but...

Good evening Niume can be asked to the designer .. to have a solution can be seen with Alx_Novoros from SHO he is the designer of the multi .. I think he knows English and understands it well ... or Mr vickers good luck for the project because the manual and just as important ...:up:

No ..:oops::oops: do not play with the complete interiors ... under penalty of breaking its assembly ... besides the mod does not especially need it:timeout:
to play the interiors it was to play without Wolfpack..

Have you been able to appreciate this sequence of diving .. the immersive sound .. the inertia of the boat (observe the recommendations of Kellermann you will understand better ...) the devices available ... the research that was carried out here ... the navigation of the terrible boat ... the precision of the model uboats ... of the ships .. i haven't seen so much of such a thing in other Sh4 mods ..
Moreover, when I see the "Uboat" game which has a "next generation" engine, I find that it is on the street ... facing the navigation & ship model here .. !! the "Dev" does not use the engine correctly and it is difficult to master it the rest too bad this game has a great potential ... you should know that the KsD II team is still preparing new things each time ;;; I have been able to approach certain works and I can tell you that if they have mastered their subject there will still be some great things in perspective.

yes a research work was carried out was very difficult to implement with airplanes .. according to Comrade Lukner it has now been 3 years that I am on Ksd is really a site with great Russians :up:

yes indeed I just saw also it is strange .. I had just assembled a little while ago I rarely use uzo ... Niume has the same problem he lets me know .. it must be a tga problem. .I will see..

If by that full interior mod, you're meaning this 1:

NewInterior_2b_7b_7c_7c41_V1.14

Then by all means, avoid the use of it & I will explain why. (at least, in My own experience, as to why that is... :yep:)

I started off in a fresh after install & set up, in a Type IX-A Uboat. Everything loaded up alright, until I got into the boat.. & got hit with camera out of sector or similar message. Meaning that the area I was in, was not showing up, as it should. For Me, that was in the control rom, which by all rights, should have been showing up. As I had yet to do any moving about of the camera to even begin with.. :o

Like, what the heck... dude. :doh: Every other cam view, though... was fine that I could tell of, after doing some mental gymnastics to remember the basics of what F key did what view. All those checked out, though, when I tried to go back to the control room... bupkiss... nada, the big fat goose egg. That view, was borked.

Needless to say, I exited, dumped the game save folder. Went back into the jsgme, backtrack deactivated the mods until I got that 1 there de-activated & then reactivated the rest as before... following the base mod list shown in post #1 (minus the interior mod) then restarted back up... & viola, no issues with being able to see the control room.

A shame, as from the look up I did on that mod, looks interesting but.. will avoid it like the plague unless someone can step up & figure out the cause of that cam out of sector error... it'll stay unused. I would try, but.. I shall admit (freely) that I am NOT that tech savvy as to know what to do to succeed.. :yep: & so, I shall leave that in more capable hands to dink with.

Z1D, is a radio mod I found that does radio broadcasts starting with 1939, about 08/01/39 (that's August 01, of that year... :yep:) I originally found it for use with 'We dive at Dawn mod set... but fits in with the skippering a Uboat with KSD II quite well, I believe. :shucks:

G1, just swaps the water colors about on the nav map... which light colored waterways means safety & dark waterways/areas is representative of danger, beware...

G2 through G6, just give a better feel to Me, at any rate... of the sea bed in shallow water areas, that are not a danger to the boat to be in... as well as the water with the use of the SH5 water for SH4 mod.

Any way, that is My activated mods list here for KSD II, that I'm using. And now, am back out on the hunt...

On the Uzo, I hall do a check on that.. after I load up & see if that issue is present in My set up... I don't recall that being there, but.. am NOT 100% sure either. :yep:

When it comes to Uzo's problem it's not a big deal ... moreover when Niume at the end of the total translation this mod will be at the top

Delete file ..\Knights Of Sea Depth - II\MODS\Wolfpack_v 2.3\Data\Library\Cameras.dat (size 40975 kb), then reinstall Wolfpack.

now be careful to have a good career ... complete so as not to create problems by playing missions or patrolling ... this is what I could understand otherwise there may be problems ... with the files is this to find without sailors on the deck or missing the gun ... etc ... problems already known on other SH4 mods Upc files ... :up::salute:

I also had strange things that happened :yep:.. I had Mk14 torpedoes to offer from the bunker I had chosen 2nd fleet Wilhelmshaven:har::har: since I removed the Cam dat for the uzo I have the impression that it is no longer the same:doh:. .. I am going to reinstall all properly because my version date of Christmas .. is I had done several patrols is another ... It will take me a little time Mdr ...:ping::ping:

le manuel "Handgriff" les bateaux ne sont pas traduit.. c est etrange car avant cela fonctionnait sauf la longueur du bateau.. tous le reste etait plutot pas mal.. l academy naval deux mission effectuer ..les objectif primaire n apparaisse pas a coter de la loupe;??sinon le reste a fonctionner..Oui pour les images de chargement... il y avais ceux de dark water ou ceux de vickers j ai oublier de vous le dire...!! je continurer ce soir je vous en dirai plus...est encore merci pour ce que vous fait ici fantastique job...bravo...cordialement KM_U669

Testing different water colours. In my opinion the current water colour sometimes is way too blue for North Atlantic. I am thinking maybe adding the colour files from OMEGU.

Know that vickers03, did such a set up for U.S. fleetboats... but, don't think that such a mod set up has been done for the Uboat side of SH4... that I am aware of.. I could be... mistaken on that, I shall admit... :shucks:

I found a problem with the Hydrophone Bearing display with this MOD
The bearing , Ship type shown on the notepad also the Green Light are not match with the bearing of the propeller noise that we actually heard and the needle pointed. Sometimes it may have 10 degree error.
Does anyone else found the same problem?

I use the Type VII U-BOAT, 2nd flotilla ,26th August 1939 to test, The bug is easy to recurrent。 When chose the IXA it also has the same problem

I tried the original KSD II mod and didn't found the problem

It changes the submarine diving physics and etc. For example if you are going 8knots below lets say 100 m and you want to go to periscope depth first you should order new depth around 20m. If not your submarine will raise to around 9 meters thus exposing yourself.

Would that best be served, adding in... before the translation patch 1.1, or after patch 1.2... :hmmm:

Just trying to get a full on, clear idea here.. of ensuring proper placement of that mod.

As for the others in the MOD folder... have a good bead on where to add them in... just, unsure on that 1 there.

Yeah atleast for me framerate dropped to around 28 fps when looking at aft or bow in control room. and my pc spec are not that bad.

Same for me, in the Type II looking towards the forward compartment doesnt effect performance but the back compartment does. For the type VII its both compartments.

Looking through the forward bulk head of the command room my FPS drop down to 35-40. The backward bulkhead its like 25-30.

I find that it eats a lot I had to try it about 2 years ago it was more stable ... I'm talking about the windo 7 core i5 760 8 go ram & ssd ... 35 to 45 fps :up:

now under windo 10 there is little core i7 860 16 go of ram & ssd ... 25 to 35 i find it strange :ping: however it is on the same machine is in windo 7 compatibilities :salute::salute:

I have moved to a different thread regarding English KSD, to Sh4 ATO because I believe KSD II Ace edition is not similar to KSD II Adversaries which is focused on multiplayer aspect also in the ATO perhaps more people will see it. Also the Ace edition has 1.3 patch included and I advise everyone to download it

Your error, as your Window indicates to you, the Runtime library is not up to date ... you just have to update it and it should be okay ...
moreover do not install in "C programs files" as we can see it on your screen ...
I installed it last night there was no problem

If you have discord, the patches are mentioned there in the KSD group, in the patches section.

With KSD II: Ace, being up to v1.3 (I believe..:hmmm:) that should already include what was in v1.2 & v1.2.1, and... perhaps v1.3, with some small changes made as some items in those patches, may have been decided of not being needed. Can't say with 100% certainty on that though.

If not a member, can dm Niume, here & request a discord invite to the group.

Or look for them there on discord & request that invite.

Last I knew of, the patch for it was up to v1.4, I believe... now.

The 1.4 patch is almost finished it is currently in a bug squashing phase.
