They clearly aren't aware of this then.
Following the game the Danish FA representatives were asked if they wanted to make an official complaint, but said they did not wish to take the matter any further.

Aha so that's what it's all about.
Just before I had to leave my home I saw the headlines in the news at noon UEFA has started a case against the English football team. three second later I turned my tv off.
Thanks for the link.
For me it's preparation for the Final on Sunday.

Protesting now is bad style, IF it should have been done instantly.
The Danes were much better than i thought, but they exhausted themselves and ran miles when England just closed their backyard - though it was not so closed, at times.
After the danish own goal (and as a german i can relate lol) the Danes still kept attacking and it was very close. In the endgame England won with less exhausted players, but rightly so. Without the own goal, what, if, would, does not matter, it was all fair enough.
It is as it is, i for one am for England at sunday 9 p.m., high time they win. And they are good enough for this :)

England are overrated and extremely boring to watch, I gave them fifteen minutes once in this tourney and then I turned it off. If Sterling is an Olympic diving champion then these Italians are Galactic champions, we could have a 3-3 draw with these two teams and the goals might all have been scored by penalties. :haha:
I have to refrain from my last comment.
Seen some clips from yesterdays semifinal.
The only way England won was because of an own goal by Simon Kjær end a dubious penalty.
So I wonder if England has what it takes to win the trophy ?
I doubt it.
The free kick goal was a real beauty.
Markus
@Moonlight You appear to suggest both England and Italy have got thru to the final by sheer luck and cheating if so what utter nonsense England have an exceptional record for fair play. I've not seen any team in this tournament who not had players go down too easily Italy are probably the most blatant
The first 15 minutes England pushing The Danes back in full attack mode certainly not boring up till then. A degree of pandemonium followed that at around 20mins or so, how can you comment on a game you did not bother to watch. You have predicted England going out in the Group stage when it was mathematically impossible and almost every game since. You seem to just have a grudge of some kind against England rather than any factual or objective opinion. I seem to remember you saying Spain could win the competition easily too
@Markus If you get the chance watch a replay of the game don't listen to hearsay or second hand info judge it for yourself. You will see several key questionable judgement by the officials both ways round for England and Denmark
I've already given my opinion on the match so I'm not going to repeat it. Your point about the own goal is not really valid it was an error by Denamrk who were put under extreme pressure they paid for that and rightly so England deserved the goal they forced that error it being an own goal does not make it count less than any other type of goal sorry to appear harsh I do feel your pain my friend. But at least your not in the Brig mate please don't you put me there
Fact : European Football Tournament Statistics
At Euro 2020 Switzerland have the worst yellow card record with 10.
Tournament Red cards currently stand at 5.
Semi Finalists Spain and Italy have 5 yellows, Second Semi Final shows England and Denmark with 4 yellows apiece

This of course does not take in account England Spain Demark and Italy have played more games and some cards were not justified in the first place. Oh and some cards should of been given but it is an indicator

to balance things up a little this article
WHY DENMARKS GOAL SHOULD OF BEEN DISALLOWED
Denmark's opening goal against England should not have stood according to laws of the game
FIFA rules state that: "Where three or more defending team players form a 'wall,' all attacking team players must remain at least 1 metre (1 yard) from the 'wall' until the ball is in play."
It's evident the one metre rule was not kept by the Danish players and the referees as well as VAR failed to spot the error amidst the jubilant celebrations from the Danes.
Should of never been given in the first place IMO there was tugging and pulling by both sides like it nearly always is even well before the kick is taken. No consistency

There are always a lot of maybe and what if a.s.o. after a game of this importance.
For me it's history lets look forward to the Final.
(And I do NOT feel sad or sorry. I expected Denmark would lose)

No, no, no, I haven't suggested that they've been cheating in this tournament at all, Italy have been the international football diving champions for decades and Sterling has been diving for years.
I read what Sterling said today "I felt a touch and went down" if that is not an admission of cheating then I don't know what is. The next time Sterling goes down in the penalty box against your team are you going to say that was a definite penalty, I don't think so, he's well known for being a diver and most football fans know it.

Sorry mate I don't understand what you are trying to say in that case
* "No, no, no, I haven't suggested that they've been cheating" -V- if that is not an admission of cheating then I don't know what is -V- he's well known for being a diver
Can you not see how contradictory that sounds ?
*"The next time Sterling goes down in the penalty box against your team are you going to say that was a definite penalty, I don't think so"
Totally depends on the circumstances if he's brought down unfairly I'm going to take in on the chin and say that's a penalty
* "he's well known for being a diver and most football fans know it"
False. Raheem Shaquille Sterling MBE of Manchester City is a player of exceptional talent what you fail to recognise is this man is a absolute nightmare for defenders especially in the 6yrd box he's quick agile and dances around defenders with ease and is often brought down unfairly
And its pains me to say so as a Manchester United fan
Top 15 players for diving according to the Bleacher report and does not take Euro 2020 into account which I accept is possibly more relevant but it is an indication of reputation
1. Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid) Frequency of Dives: 9.9 From Argentina
2. Sergio Busquets (Barcelona) 7.5 Spain
3. Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid) 8.1 Portugal
4. Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich) 9.7 Netherlands
5. Neymar (Santos) 10 Brazil
6 Didier Drogba (Chelsea) 9.1 Ivory Coast
7. Dani Alves (Barcelona) 9.7 Brazil
8. Nani (Manchester United) 9.0 Portugal
9. Alberto Gilardino (Fiorentina) 5.0 Italy
10. Emmanuel Eboue (Galatasaray) 9.1 Ivory Coast
11. Steven Gerrard (Liverpool) 7.2 England
12. Luis Suarez (Liverpool) 8.0 Uruguay
14. Milos Krasic (Juventus) 8.0 Serbia
13. Marcelo (Real Madrid) 9.3 Brazil
15. Fernando Torres (Chelsea) 6.2 Spain
Ranking takes into account other factors such as how often they get away with it which is why Angel Di Maria get top spot

The matter with Denmark is debateable I've already commented on that

We are not talking about statistics, we are talking about Sterling diving against Denmark, don't justify that by pointing at others, that's laughable.
Take off your England glasses and your patriotism and be honest for once, If you're not able to see the dive, the play-acting fall, you need to go and have your vision examined, it is possible to admit the cheating you know, everybody else saw it, except you and the rose tinted spectacled fans. :haha:
Just remember, when Sterling goes down in the penalty box next year, it's not a dive but a clear cut penalty. :O:

Oh the passion. Oh the furor.
:D
In the end its the usual ballerina operetta, and a total system fail on side of the monitors.
In other team sports they can solve such issues much better, efficiently and professionally. Why not in football? Because some people in football mistake unfairness with sentimental value. They want to feel the rage, it seems.
I never understood this attitude. I think it gets much better handled in ice hockey, American Football, basketball. There they have VAR, too. And different to football, they know how to handle the equipment. :03:
May the better sportsmen win. Not the better cheaters. Thats what I call fairness, and sportsmanship.

Where in my post does it say I thought Sterling did not fake his fall dive whatever you want to call it ? You quite clearly go on about his reputation not just the Denmark game. Another example of your Strawman arguments
Furthermore don't you accuse me of dishonesty when you cannot even be bothered to read my post correctly and even your own or does your brown stained glasses not permit it ?

The Football Association has been fined 30,000 euros (£26,600) for three incidents during England's Euro 2020 semi-final win over Denmark, including a laser pointer being shone at Kasper Schmeichel's face.
Television pictures showed a green light on Danish keeper Schmeichel's face just before Harry Kane took an extra-time penalty.
The fine by Uefa was also for "disturbances during the national anthems" and fireworks being set off.

^ Really?
I didn't think so.
Now people from both side will discuss whether the fine was fair or not.
I think it should have been higher than £26,600

May tomorrows final be one to remember in a positive way that is.
I have no favorite I hope the best team win the trophy.
To my British friends may tomorrow be the day you celebrate that it came home.

I'm going to stick with my original choice which is Italy but I'll be saddened if Italy win and ecstatic if England win.

Oh how so very embarrassing.....
https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-b1881684.html
Well, the National is the leftist-nationalist equivalent of the Express and Telegraph, Jim. I'm not in the least bit surprised that they've taken that line. That the owner is of Italian descent makes this even less surprising.
I would say that the best way to describe the Scottish view of this would be thus:
"By all means, if you win, you win, but don't brag/drone on about it for the next few decades like you did the '66 World Cup. And don't get big-headed about it, either.:timeout: Arrogance comes before a fall."
I know I use this term a lot, but it's all very Calvinist Presbyterian.
Mike.

I see that political plonker Bozo Johnson who has never supported England before has decked out 10 Downing street with St Georges flags, apparently he's going to be throwing knighthoods about like confetti if they win the final.
Just to put things into perspective here, this England team does not bring back memories of past football greats such as Pele's Brazil, or Beckenbauer's Germany, in fact if there was a World X1 none of this current England team would get anywhere near it. :o
Do England a favour Italy and stop Bozo from claiming victory, he'll try to join the team in holding the Cup aloft on top of a red double decker bus as it tours around London as well, watching Bozo going round England with the cup until his next election is a fate worse than death. :O:
It was a joke Mike, If I said he was Irish American it would not be funny mate.

Maybe, but Irish American's generally have a bigger sense of humour failure when it comes to England than many Scots do.

I fully realised and was finely tuned in :yep:
There are many Danes who wish Italy would win this should be due to the British football fans and some players behaviour on the field, as spectator and outside on the street.
I just hope it will be a great game.

I will clap hands for England this weekend.
Nevertheless, that was an effort well invested. Good game by both, and an excellent referee. Congrats to Italy. They are as worthy a winner as England would have been, too.
Just Rashford.:o The moment he started his showact I immediately knew, I just knew it that he would not even hit the goal and that England's fate was sealed, I just felt it. What did he think when doing that stepdancing coup? A chorus line forming up and dancing to the music of Riverdance...? Everybody can miss a penalty, and usually I do not mock. But that performance was just embarassing. Next time sit at a table and play chess, Mister.

Southgate is a terrible tactician and coach, he brought on two players in the last two minutes to take penalties ... and both of them bloody missed. The negative anti football that England have adopted under Southgate is just not good enough, it will get no better in the blistering heat of Qatar next year either. :o

Actually the English team played better than what I expected to see, and outplayed Italy in the first 30 minutes. Southgate did very well. But the Italians reacted and changed their play, too, and so most of the second half was theirs. And Southgate had an elite cadre, it seems, at least that is what the German TV commentators repeatedly said (I do not know all the names). A reserve bank that is pure luxury, they said.
I like this team. I also like the Italian team. I like Southgate by the appearance he gave in this match. Well, he made the best English team that I can remember having ever seen.
What I do not like, are the English fans and the awful headlines they made and still make. Board members excluded, of course, you guys are fine. ;)
And the primaballerina mistaking the penalty with a chance to dance a solo really killed nerve and mood of mine. I have zero patience with such showacts. Again, I usually do not mock at all if a player misses a penalty. But this one was an exception. Primaballerina.

South is a good ambassador for the sport this England team is still a WIP and improving. Not knocking Rashford he's had almost no game time was nervous no time to settle I can see why he was brought on hes got a success rate of around 9/10 penalties and it was only a fraction out. Not keen on the Ballerina as you call it but he can do the whole of Swan Lake for all I care so long as the ball goes in the back off net. Still proud of the lads just need a bit more consistency

Southgate is a terrible tactician and coach, he brought on two players in the last two minutes to take penalties ... and both of them bloody missed. The negative anti football that England have adopted under Southgate is just not good enough, it will get no better in the blistering heat of Qatar next year either. :o
England, World Cup and UEFA Nations League up semi finalists. England Euro 2020 Finalist. What a terrible record under Southgate.

More trash talk form the man who gave us this :
* woke pillocks
* Knee Benders of England
* a set of overpaid knee bending puffs
* the tossers think they're gods gift to football
* they've got a coach who makes that boring twat Steve Davis look and sound interesting, the FA and Southgate himself are in denial about him being out of his depth and the sooner he's got rid of the better
* we might just see the Knee Benders coming home early if things go awry.
* Southgate has set the Knee Benders a tough task in their next match, I'm not going to wish them luck as they're going to need more than that to win this tourney
* next up is the Knee Benders and if they suffer the same fate tomorrow I'll be ecstatic
* The Towel Droppers against the Knee Benders " edited" as for England, they'll come back home and swan around like pillocks with their fancy tattoos and fancy hair styles, bloody muppets. etc etc etc
foul malicious disrespect

Perfect results on both sides of the pond. Messi gets his international trophy, finally, and good for him. England lose a tournament final on penalties, which is the natural order of things.
Congrats to Italy, worthy winners.
It's easy to pick it apart in hindsight, but I was firmly off the Southgate bandwagon throughout his tenure. Results however have been good, so what I saw seemed to have little actual effect. Managers own their substitutions, and get praised when they pay off, and rightly, should be criticized when they get it wrong. He got it wrong yesterday. Not that he could control those misses, but the fact remains he put on the players who lost the match. Heavy is the head who wears the big hat, and the buck stops with him.
I agree with Skybird and felt exactly the same as he did when watching twinkle toes run up to take his pen. Just awful, and the football gods are just passing judgement on his ridiculous prancing approach. They have decided, I am sure, that anyone taking a penalty in this manner is doomed to miss. Rashford will live out his life with this burden, as Southgate has since '96. Southgate, paying it forward.

I deal in cold hard facts matey, there's no hate involved, I was just trying to put a dampener on all the media hype proclaiming that "Footballs Coming Home" that's all, I see you fell for it "Hook Line and Sinker". I remember Sven-Göran Eriksson being England manager and, from what I've seen and heard England have turned full circle to that era. Eriksson wasted the golden generations opportunities with defensive tactics and, Southgate will do the same to this team.
1) Tactics, Southgate has never let his young lions off the leash for even one game, why not?, because he's scared of losing, how the hell can he know what his best formation is if he doesn't let them loose for once, so England lose a match, so what, at least he'll find out what they're capable of. The best form of defence is attack, but it seems Southgate doesn't know that.
2) Possession, England 35% Italy 65%, that's not the players fault its Southgate's fault, he is the coach and everything that goes right or wrong on that pitch is his to own, Southgate will win what Eriksson won if he doesn't change things around, nothing, zero, zilch.
3) Penalties, whoever put that much pressure on a 19 year old's shoulders by having him take the 5th penalty wants their head examining. Where were Sterling, Grealish and Stones, oh yeah, hiding behind a 19 year old kiddie and Southgate let them, Shocking!!!!. Southgate needed to show some ruthless leadership, he should have grabbed those three by the scruff of the neck and told them they're taking a penalty whether they like it or not.
4) The biggest clowns in all of this are the England fans, yet again they've fallen for all that overblown media hype, "Footballs Coming Home", no it isn't, "Footballs Coming Rome".

++ Jim wins, and Italy :yep:
Aye, my initial prediction at the start of the tournament.
What's most upsetting for me is the reaction of the fans before and after the game.
^ It was the only negative before and after the Final yesterday.
What made me most sad was all this racism and threats against these three English player.
I truly hope they will catch these low life people and let them get the strongest punishment there is. It's totally disgraceful

Please don't insult my intelligence by suggesting I've fallen for your hook line sinker comment. Dampening media hype as you call it is no excuse for calling the England team "overpaid knee bending puffs" that is insulting to the stance on "Black lives matter" and Homophobic. That is just 1 example
Very few if any of your posts deal in facts a string of insults is more like it you cannot pass off things as facts which are merely your opinion and rubbishing the comments of others which does not fit your agenda. Merely doing it now for the first time is neither credible or adequate
Try to use persuasion and logic to get your point over in a civil and respectful way avoid using insults, a trap which even the best of us can fall into.
Demonstrate maturity and an objective point of view
Use your grasp of the English language to express yourself not use terms like " Boring Tw*t" What has poor English snooker legend Steve Davis done to deserve that ?
Social media is not a platform for forcing your opinion onto others do not confuse facts with opinion.Think before engaging your keyboard of the consequences of your post and how they may be interpreted Work on improving your communication with others do some soul searching, I've been doing it for years and I am still learning.
The England fans are obviously disappointed give them a break. After all that has been said you still not help yourself by describing them as clowns its nothing to do with media hype its patriotism the love of football. This is a Footballing nation. Football coming home is just a song to express that nothing more. I think England will do well in the next world cup.
Does that make me a "Clown" from "Cuckooland"? I fear I may be talking to deaf ears.

Those fans are doing themselves and their country no favours at all.
Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings into security breaches at the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.
Fans fought with stewards and police as they attempted to break through gates for Sunday's showcase event.
Football Association chief executive Mark Bullingham apologised to legitimate fans and said the security team had "never seen anything like it".

Harry Maguire's father Alan suffered two suspected broken ribs before England's Euro 2020 final defeat by Italy, says the England defender.
Fans fought with stewards and police as they attempted to break through gates for Sunday's game at Wembley.
Maguire's father, 56, was "struggling to breathe" after being trampled on.
"My dad was in the stampede," Maguire told the Sun. "It was not a nice experience - it shook him up. He said he was scared."

For once I'm struggling to comment. I think a lot of the scenes we have witnessed from footage around the whole country not just London are typical individuals we see fighting in our towns and cities leaving pubs and clubs at night and are jumping on the back of football to unleash their violent nature. I would like to say its a tiny majority but that appears not to be the case.
Its the mentality of the school yard but I'm not sure if school yards are still as remembered back in the day
All the good that comes this event is overshadowed by mindless people ( I find it hard to call them fans ) who cannot see the harm this does to our national reputation the risk of someone getting seriously hurt or worse. The consequences could well possibly be that they never see England host a major championship in their life time. I doubt that concerns them
What is the solution ? I really don't know
I normally fly the flag for England but its at half mast at the moment

One possible solution might be if the majority of well behaved fans took it upon themselves to 'Police' the minority causing this mayhem but public order would obviously suffer as a consequence.
Truth be told, there probably isn't a workable solution.
Sorry didn't know where to post this interesting youtube clip.
It shows that there are fair penalty in the world.
