I can't change my Uboat number anymore somehow. :hmmm: I changed the number in the OptionsFileEditorViewer to U-204 and this is showing correctly in the ship's journal. After starting a new career the game assigned U-201 to me. So when I receive a message in the Captain's log this is adressed to U-201. Journal still shows U-204. As instructed in the OptionsFileEditorViewer I changed the number in the playersettings.cfg file to U-204. However when I play the game the number is automatically set back to U-201 in the playersettings.cfg file.

Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have changed the number in the past various times without problems.:o:hmmm::timeout:

Have you started a new journal? If not it’ll continue with the old one.

What do you mean by starting a new journal? In my journal it shows U-204, which is correct as assigned in the OptionsFileEditorViewer. However the game thinks my U-boat is U-201, so in the captain's log (different from the journal) messages are adressed to U-201.
This Uboat number is listed in the playersettings.cfg file. When I change it here to U-204 then in the game I'm still U-201 and when I open the playersettings.cfg file after playing the number has changed back to U-201.
I have changed my Uboat number several times in the past without problems but now I can't figure out what I'm doing differently.

Go into TWO's option file editor and click on Ship journal ? (think where it is) and the instructions are in the first line.....

I have followed these instructions and changed the number in the playersettings.cfg file, but when I load a save the number hasn't changed. And after exiting the game the number has then changed back to the original in the playersettings.cfg file. Not sure why, I've changed the number succesfully in other careers a few times. Don't know why it isn't working this time.

But never mind, I've already accepted that I'm now U-201. Nothing wrong with U-201.:03:

That is because after you have changed the number in the file and before you start the game you should disable all mods in JGSME, then go to generic patcher, make a new snapshot and activate that snapshot.

Then add all mods in JGSME again and start the game.

The game never sees your change because of the old snapshot still in place.

Best,

Ashi.
