Scripted.

In Sonalysts' games, several things can be randomized like each ship's starting location, which one submarine out of a group of three will spawn for example, and which path a ship will take through a mission can also be randomly selected from for example a set of three different paths. But the major objectives of the mission and the area of the world they take place in are always fixed.
