Hi,

Must be stupid, but what makes the submarine movement visible from interior when diving/surfacing? (The leaning)

Asking because NYGM is the only mod who doesn’t have any leaning at all
...and i would like to bring back this feature.
Must be really easy fix, but can’t find it in camera.dat!

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Must be stupid, but what makes the submarine movement visible from interior when diving/surfacing? ...

Hello, Fifi.
I am the author of such mod.
...
all credits should go out to Master Anvart ...

Many, many years ago I read on the forum that players want to see in the interiors the visual effect of the submarine's submersion. I got interested in this problem and looked of the SH3's capabilities... and found a suitable 'Trim' controller and applied it to the Command Room cameras. In this controller you can be set the angle of a tilt. Since the real maximum angle of a tilt (~15°) looks stupid (not correct) in the interiors of SH3, I applied (IIRC) ~5-7°. I published me demonstration mod (IIRC October, 2006) The players liked the mod, but again the conversation began about the need to apply the real maximum immersion angle (15°). I made a mod with this stupid max angle (also added a few other cameras). After that, I decided not to continue this topic and did not implement this mod for other interiors. One person was even offended that I didn't help him implement the mod in the conning tower. There is a similar inconsistency with real visual effects in the implementation of storm pitching in the interiors of the submarine. It is especially funny to see this through the eyes of seated sailors. :haha:
Good luck.
