My first mod release.
DOWNLOAD:Menu fix for ultrawide V1 (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/downloads.php?do=file&id=5769)
What it does? It makes the buttons in the menus visible on ultrawide resolutions wich were placed offscreen when using ultrawide resolutions.

My gosh! GAS is attacking me once again - and for a 15 y.o. game, no less!!! I now need me an ultra-wide, 32inch display... maybe even a new desk so I can fit a 42 inch dispay on it!!! Scary! My wife very much does not like this... Well done, VDraculaV! :salute:

"Sound" advice, good sir... I do have a few extra renown points that I can pay for the new eels with, then submerge below the thermal layer in the basement with newly acquired equipment, and "run silent, run deep"... |;^) - use of safety headgear is mandatory, btw :yeah:

Unfortunately there are still issues to solve for the rendered parts of the game, to make it fully enjoyable in 32:9. For example the rendering of the periscope texture. The more you increase the aspect ratio, the more the upper and lower parts of the periscope gets cut off. Still searching how to fix that.
ps: a 32 inch 32:9 display would be very tiny. :D My 49" 32:9 monitor has the height of a 28" 16:9 monitor (lenght of 2x 28" 16:9 monitors side by side).

I made some progress on fixing the perisopes and binocular views for ultrawide resolutions, wich i mentioned in my last post. Still some work and research to do. Working with Dark Waters files now. Hope to finish it soon for the next version release. :03:

I am using a 3840×2160 monitor. The UI and text of the game are too small to see clearly. Is there any way to enlarge them?:hmmm:

Not without quite a bit of work in the menu_1024_768.ini and other files, which is a scary, complex proposition for most modders. The issue involves the original "size" of the interface elements of the old DirectX v9 game, originally sized for (surprise) 1024x768, or a 4:3 ratio, but with 16:9 ratios available, while your 4k resolution is a 16:9 ratio, things start getting difficult for old people ( ) at 1920x1080. It might be that you would find that a divisible (or something close) such as 2560×1440 or even as "coarse" as 1920x1080 (my max setting for my eyes) would work better for your eyes.

I want to modify the menu_1024_768.ini by myself . Is there any tutorials?
:hmmm:
