Like the title says, is it possible somehow to get Silent Hunter 4 running in ultrawide resolution (5120x1440 in my case)?
At the moment i'm only able to play it in 2560x1440 with two black squares left and right on my monitor.
Tried to launch it today in 5120x1440 with miltiple nVidia scale settings, game seems to work just fine but the upper and lower parts of the picture are off screen and the whole picture is shifted to the left (see screenshot (https://ibb.co/JpD3VQ4) of the "Quick Mission" menu)

Try 1920x1800 ,, if the game is in 86 windows program folder you should move it to the hard drive outside of those program folders,, then go to the compatibility page and have it run in xp super pack 3,, I got the same thing going on with that Janes WW2 Fighters but I have it loaded directly to the hard drive,

Certain aspects of the game are of a set resolution. While SH4 is better at re-sizing the display screen than SH3 is, it still is not the best methodology. The "best" way to approach it is to find the "native" resolution of your monitor, which when in the Windows dialogs will show as "(recommended)". Match that with the Windows display resolution settings, then go into the game, and see if you don't have one similar to that. You might be stuck with a multiple of what you have in Windows. I doubt if an ultra-wide ratio will be available, and you might have to choose a "Windowed" version of something close, which will of course display rather small text.

forgot to mention, the game is installed on drive H: (uplay version).
and 5120x1440 is the native resolution of my monitor (Samsung C49RG94SSU)
Game is running in compatibility mode (does not start otherwise)

[edit] game is running in windowed mode already, because otherwise the picture is stretched out if i play it in 16:9 (2560x1440) on my 32:9 monitor

If that's the highest resolution you see on the game's menu, that's what you're stuck with. Unfortunately, you can't dress the pig (game) up here... There are no heels that go that wide. :O:
