Can a charitable seafarer tell me where the text file of this Ship Identification Manual is to translate it into French?
Thank you

Thank you very much, I would never have had the idea to open these .ait files.
So I'm going to open each file of the Mod NewsUIs_TDC ...
Monstrous work in perspective.
I'm surprised that the original game doesn't give these files in French

Those texts are not in the original game Pascal. They are an exclusive feature of TDW's UI. On a side note, be careful with those translations. If memory serves me well, any mistake in the tags/headers will cause the game to crash :yep:

Yes, you're stealing the words from me, because I was going to write (I'm in the process of translating) that this additional work in this Mod, all the information brought is remarkable -
So, bravo to the creators!
PS: I translated the radio message files with this translator, which seems to be the only one that respects the specific formatting

However I wonder, why some parts of the texts are strikeout ??
Text modifications work, but French accents ( é à è ) are not taken! Replaced by "?"
How to do it?

It depends on encoding format. If you are using notepad to edit those files, once finished go to => File => Save as, and in the 'Encoding' dropdown menu select 'Unicode' :yep:

Well, once again you bring me the solution, thank you!
If I dared a small question of detail: I can't find the file to modify the text on the cover of the handbook: AircraftCarrier, Freighter, WarShips ... etc
Sorry, I found by chance just now : SOANNames.cfg
