Is there any way to zero out the gyros? I was in a TDC approach and then decided a zero gyro shot would work better. No matter what I did, I couldn't zero out the gyros. Sonar wasn't tracking the target, neither was radar. I put the scope down moved AoB to 90, then 0 and 180.

Am I missing something? Is there a mod available to get manual control of the torpedo gyros?

Thanks,

Basically, keep the Position Keeper off (obviously). Work a solution you believe should give you 0 gyro. You are wanting the torps to travel a strait line from the bow no ? Aim the scope of TBT to the proper bearing, use the button that sends bearing and range to tdc, it will set the torps gyros for the shot. IF you scroll mouse over the TDC panel on the left of screen, the top portion with the dials (not the torpedo depth and scpread dials, the angle solver sections) let the mouse rest momentarily, it will tell you what the gyros are set to based on the info you entered via a pop up. Time consuming but plotting a solution with TDC was, thus why they invented it lol.

I've been using 454_EasyAOB_FotRSU + Manual Range and Mast Height mod and I thought that maybe that was gumming up the works. I disabled it and control of the TDC went to nothing! I guess I'm going to have to decide my approach before I get to firing point. The TDC is like a bulldog, once you give it a solution to solve, it's going to solve it.... A minor problem in the grand scheme of things!

PK off. Scope to zero bearing. Speed set to zero. AOB set to zero. That should zero out your gyros.

Speed and bearing to 0 is enough. AoB won't matter if speed is 0.

(And PK Off)

That is what I thought. I end up with a few degrees on the 'torpedo course' needle. I'm to think that I have a mod issue. I should be able to set gyros and course to zero. I'll look into it and report.

Found it! The one item I missed was taking range down to the lowest setting. With all the other parameters zeroed out: Pk off, AoB 0, Speed 0, scope unlocked then entering 200 yds on the range, all the needles snapped to zero.

Another mystery solved without William Shatner!

Thanks for the help guys........

i had my troubles setting the gyros to 0 too. Got it finaly to work. you have to set periscope to 0°, send speed 0 and distance again to TDC (no matter what distance). It's working for me.

btw: is it possible to map a key on the keyboard to toggle Position Keeper on/off?
