Thank you Fifi for your 'New Waves" add-on. With this new enhancement, what's the recommended setting in SH3 Commander's, "SET WAVE HEIGHT" ? Standard or Seasonal ? What do you suggest ? ... thanx Jerry

With this new waves, do not activate seasonal!...because 15ms are way enough high...you may end with monstrous waves that no ship could handle! :D

Brighter nights are finally available for Ccom12
Nights are just slightly decreased for better visibility, but keeping realism.

To be activated after my mod.

Haha... just realized in my new career with type II, that we can sink small vessels with the 20mm AA gun!! :o
Years of playing, and never bothered to try it! :haha:
Ccom12 remains an awesome mod :yep:

Strangely, using Ccom Commander and selecting « use historical availability dates » in Cmdr options, we are unable to get type VIIB in early 1940

So best is to not select this Commander option, and everything is fine again.
(Or editing Cmdr Cfg file to give VIIB back)

Thank you Fifi for this mod.

Been running this for the last 2 weeks works great and is very stable. Has anybody added a sound mod to this set up. I really like the sound pack complete sound pack for Wac 5. Does anyone see a reason that this sound pack would have any conflicts if so can anybody recommend a sound mod.

Glad you like it!
Sound mod shouldn’t brake anything, as far as it’s only sound files.
Just activate it last, and if any trouble encountered, you will easily deactivate it :yep:

Hello Fifi!
I've successfully set up CCoM12 with your enhancements and I like it very much so far. However there are a couple of loose ends on my side regarding correct setup of all components. Couldn't find the answers in this thread… :hmmm:
- Hsie night vision fix adjusted
I've seen on another forum that night vision fix in HSiE selector should be disabled for CCoM12 +Fifi enhancements.
SOURCE from january 2021 (http://www.mille-sabords.com/forum/index.php?s=&showtopic=57973&view=findpost&p=455444)(post #14). I read this translated into english...
So, should the HSie option Night vision fix be used or not?
- 10 to 15 ms waves again adjusted for best splashes enjoyment and ships sea handling. Best cruise speed when big waves remains ahead 1/3 (7/8 knots
Are these the new waves? I've seen a link for the those in one of your more recent posts in april 2021 and I wonder if this is integrated or needs to be downloaded and activated separately?

Any input appreciated
Thank you and other modders for continuous work on SH3. It's great!

Regards, Tinman :salute:

Hey Tinman, found this on post 197 at :

https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=237000&highlight=CCoM12&page=14

I use these settings. These might be old now. I don't know. If these settings are obsolete, I'd like fix these.

Tinman, and Doolar just a night vision heads up. Make sure you use either the envsim file included with H.sie's patch or Stiebler's envsim file from the NYGM site here.
Those are the only two envsim files coded correctly to work with the night vision.

Hi John,
Is this with the night vision fix checked in the patch options or without.

With. For that matter, my post applies to any install. If one wants the night vision to work with an above 8k env., one must use one of those two files.
Or take the nv code from it via hex editing and apply it to an envsim file they want to use.

Just to be clear regarding the nv fix, do not use the envsim file included in Stiebler's patch.
If you want to use his envsim file with nv instead of H.sie's, only use the Stiebler envsim file from the NYGM site here.
In short, to have nv use either:
-The envsim file included in H.sie's patch.
or
-The envsim file from Stiebler found here (https://www.subsim.com/mods1/nygm/). #10 on the list.
These are the only two envsim files coded for the nv patch to work correctly and either one is required for it to work correctly. One must also enable the nv patch in the options selector used with H.sie's and/or Stiebler's mods.

Absolutely. Furthermore you can adjust the NV in Hsie.ini file to your liking.
Decreasing value = less night vision for your crew.

So if I am understanding correctly do I need to replace the envsim file in FiFi enhancement mod with the one from the NYGM page?

No; both files are the same file. In other words, Fifi already took care of it for a player by including it in his excellent mod.
Sorry for any confusion.
