Sub Command - Widescreen mod?

I notice the highest resolution in the menu is 1600x1200, but I am playing on an ultrawide (3440 x 1440).


Is there a way to increase the resolution so that it's at least widescreen?

Not really.
SC and DW were coded back in the era of 4:3 CRTs.
What you can try is running SC in "windowed mode". That should get you a larger display with a couple of small borders on each side. Check the DW forums on what files you'll need to download and how to set them up. I'm also pretty sure FPS Chazly has a video tutorial on how to set it up.
