i made this a while back but have now decided to add it to epic w@ters as a optional mod
basically it dose 2 things
it modifies the color on the players boat icon to Red & Green so port and Starboard Orientation to target can be ascertained more easily as you maneuver your vessel
ive also added Port & starboard labels on the stores panel for extra reference
these additions make faster tube selection for faster torpedo firing and side correction ect :
which tube to fire a wire guided torpedo from or to cut down on torpedo turn time after exiting the tube
its a simple addition but knowing faster were your tubes are in relation to your target is very important in naval warfare
to make this better i changed the torpedo tube positions on all vessels so for example a November was :

for Port & starboard tube sides
some submarines have center tubes these i divided in to Port and starboard as well so :

bear in mind the tube positions are still valid its just the order that they are positioned on your hud that matters so its the vessel tube order that makes the difference hear.

hear is a Fwd torpedo room layout : of a soviet-foxtrot-class

on my mod then vessels either have port / left tubes or Starboard / right tubes
if the vessel has middle tubes so like a skipjack tubes are divided in the middle
1,2 are outer port tubes
3 is a middle tube (port side group)
4 is a middle tube (starboard side group)
5,6 are outer starboard tubes
most NATO submarines have clear port & starboard tubes usually theirs only a few that dont like swiftsure , skipjacks , barbels ect
so this mod mainly helps with Russian stuff
like sierras , akulas ect
1,2 outer port tubes
3,4 middle port tube group
5,6 middle starboard tube group
7,8 outer starboard tubes
so if you in combat and maneuvering you have to keep track of which side to fire from and also what tube to use hence this mod
so with this mod in essence
tube 1 is best port tube then tube 2 ect
&
the highest numbered tube is best starboard tube then the next highest number tube ect
in all cases
so in the game a swift sure has 5 tubes
so i now know :
load wire weapons in port tubes 1,2
tube 3 is a middle tube so harpoon tlam ect ie no wire
load wire weapons in starboard tubes 4,5
so as you can see i can maximize my angels for my weapons by loading the right weapons in to the best tubes for em for any submarine in the game very easily
