ive been testing my new Reworked USN surface weapons on my test ship which is a
Knox-class Frigate
the towed array is coming along ok my test Towed Surface Array is a :
AN/SLQ-25 NIXIE
In the Pictures the towed decoy is the white tube 3 Decoy that Auto Follows me still working out the best of a few ways to make this better
tubes 3 & 6 are the Nixie Launchers you can only load Nixies in to those
Ive also made Deploy-able helicopters im using the usn_sh2f Helicopter atm
and have made 3 Variants :
1.) Dipping Sonar
2.) Torpedo Dropping
3.) Sonar Buoy Dropping
not decided what to add Sprite wise yet either the things they use so like :
if a sonar buoy ill add that if a Torpedo ect we see
so for now ive used a re textured Russian helicopter one
tube 7 is the Hanger it only loads Helicopter Variants
ive also Re textured the rocket part of the RUR-5 to make it dark grey like it should be
Tube 8 is the RUR-5 & Harpoon Launcher Tube only in other words its the VLS or SET in my games im still messing with naming surface Weapons Launchers atm
The main aim hear is to get more Surface Ship Options on both Weapons & Defense,s & also more Sensor Options via Helicopters but this will need work
so might just use Helicopters & Jets on Vessels to drop Torpedo's or Fire Anti-Ship Missiles
my other Vessel is nearly ready a playable
" USS Enterprise (CVN-65)"
the
"Big E"
this will have Helicopters of Various types & Roles
Jets with Anti-Ship Missiles
harpoon Anti Ship Missiles Launchers
CAT Countermeasure Anti Torpedoes
or
ATT Anti Torpedo Torpedo,s
Towed Decoy System so most likely a AN/SLQ-25 NIXIE Variant newer Carriers could get the Anti Wake homing one tho
Defensive Anti submarine Torpedo's
wont have Photon Torpedoes tho mind you they dont do well when wet !!!!
