Ah yes, this was actually a very common anti-air tactic back in the day. Since guided missiles weren't a thing and shooting the flak from ground level was highly inaccurate, they just raised the gun (including the bunker for better defense) up in the air to shoot enemy aircaft from very close range.

Another tactic was to ask the enemy pilots politely to fly lower, but that only worked against canadian aircaft... :yeah:

One of the easiest ways to find those, is to use the external camera and zoom out beyond the "horizon", or rendering range of the game's "Window" on the world, if you will. One of the first things the game quits drawing is "land". Well, shrubberies actually, then Land... But "It must be one that looks nice, and is not too expensive!"... :salute:

Needless to say, this lack of shrubberies - and Land - is what exposes those gun positions, rendering them vulnerable to all manner of destruction... :arrgh!:

Fly! Fly back home wanderer, to where your Land is once again visible!... :O:

It's just something about Helgoland, it likes to render oddly
