hydrophone

I was practicing today and I noticed hydrophone contact at 180 degrees so I turn the boat to 180 but the hydrophone still shows the contact behind me-what am i doing wrong? Iwas under the impression that we are deaf to sounds astern because of the screws. thanks. I would like to find some ships.Never mind I fixed it not thinking today

Sounds like it !!! Adjust your volume knob all I can say or ask your Captain to turn off the motors and a depth of 20-30 meters will help as well
