Hey subsimmers!
Boy, the last time I played a subsim was in 1988 on my C64. (heh)
Anyhoo, I just got SH5 last week and I'm curious weather users might be interested in a mod I'm kind of working on.
Here's a link to a video of what it all looks like in action.

Welcome aboard Franxoft :salute:
I am not a big fan of modern scores when they are applied to history-based video games and movies (I don't especially like the vanilla soundtrack either, nor I do the Das Boot one for that matter), but I must admit that the music of your video is very evocative. Is it yours? Do you want to replace the vanilla soundtrack with it, or just with the sonar pinging that we hear on the background?

Hey Gap,
The song in the video is from the OST. I simply added some pings in the track itself. Like the theme song it now gives one the illusion that somehow the submarine is singing along, or answering from the deep or however you want to call it.
I believe that the reason why the theme song stands out in the first place. Well, now the other songs do too.
I added the pings randomly off, on, in between and syncopacly to the beat, just so it is not so much a musical instrument but more like some kind of animal trying to sing along.
I think it is what Klaus Doldinger did when he wrote the theme song.
That's basically the idea.

Welcome to Subsim, buddy!
I especially liked the first video, although I must admit that the first thing I usually do when starting a new video game is turn the music off
