One of the big costumes for Mardi Gras this year was blind referees with canes. There was even a float in a parade with them tossing out the missing penalty flag.

There's a video of it on Twitter I think. Might be on YouTube by now. It's pretty cool.

^ I think the Cleveland Browns will look a lot different this coming season. The Browns came on strong mid way through last season and should continue to Improve. That's good news for Browns fans.
There have been lots of moves in free agency in the past 2 weeks. The Baltimore Ravens lost 4 defensive starters from last year including linebacker, Terrell Suggs. The Pittsburgh Steelers ended the soap opera it has become of late with WR Antonio Brown leaving to go to the Oakland Raiders and holdout running back Le'veon Bell going to the NY Jets. TE Jesse James left to go to the Detroit Lions. The Steelers did pick up Cornerback Steven Nelson who played last season for the Kansas City Chiefs.
All this in just one division and ahead of the NFL draft next month.
* I found it amusing that Steeler Running back, Le'veon Bell held out from playing last season under the franchise tag. Bell gave up 14 million and change by not playing last season and the Steelers offered 70 million over 5 years in a new contract, only to have Bell turn that down. Bell's contract is reported to be a 4-year deal worth $52.5M. The Jets deal is only marginally better with more guaranteed money but less in salary. This doesn't count the 14 million + he lost by holding out last year. You can't make that much money back.
I think Bell's " me first "attitude in addition to the fact that he is one strike away from a season long suspension for his multiple violations of the NFL's substance abuse policy contributed to other teams passing on him. So much for Bell getting a Mega deal.

Plus Odell Beckham Jr traded from the NY Giants to the Browns ... wow!
Tom Brady has sacrificed 60 million bucks to keep the Patriots dynasty going. This is why he will always be the GOAT.
With the recent wave of massive contracts around the NFL and MLB there is one reaccuring theme. Players are not leaving any money on the table. Rightfully so players are going after every penny they can get, that may work out for their wallets but it won’t be of much help to surrounding them with adequate players to bring home a championship, nevermind multiple titles. That is where Brady has been able to separate himself from the rest. Now some players may complain that it is easier for Brady to take a discount when you factor in Gisele’s net worth is double his but the reality is, what can you do with $150 million that you can’t do with $30 million less? Brady’s willingness to leave some money on the table for the opportunity to win more championships is a move that few if any are willing to do, and will almost certainly cement Brady as the NFL’s greatest champion for as long as the league exists.

The NFL Owners are meeting in Arizona as we speak:
Reactions to Bears vs. Packers opening up the 2019 NFL season
The NFL made it official on Monday, announcing the Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers to begin the 2019 regular season. The game has typically been reserved for the Super Bowl winner, but with the league and the Bears celebrating their 100-year anniversaries, it should come as no surprise that these two legendary franchises will begin the 2019 season.
