So i recently bought fleet command and i keep getting this error saying "Failed to initiate graphics display," I'm running windows 10.
Also I'm not "Tech savvy" so i need a really "dumbed down" version.
Thanks
My best advise would be that you do following.
Uninstall everything(Regarding Fleet Command).
Restart your computer.
Go into C
There you create a folder this you can call what you want.
Reinstall Fleet command, it is important that you change the directory the folder which you have created in C
Continue installation.
Go back to C and see if the Fleet command have been installed into your folder and a shortcut have been added to you screen(I forgot what they call it)
Maybe someone else can explain it better.

Yes Windows C:
Another thing.
They have made a second version of Fleet Command.
The first was to Win98 and XP.
The lastest was made to run on Vista and Win 7.
I have both of them and I have the latest version installed on my Win10 computer.

The next solution is to try the compatibility

It have been awhile since I did this.
Right clicked on the Game Icon- There you choose Properties- and click on compatibility
Here you can let the computer make a test run of your game and choose the best compatibility for your game.
Mostly you have to do the settings by yourself.
I hope this will help.
I still don't know if you have got the hand of the old version of FC or the newer one.

That didn't work, thank you for trying though.

Then I'm pretty sure you got the hand on Jane's Fleet Command from 1999.
Try to find the newest version and try to find NWP 19.2
NWP 19.2 is a package of many, many scenarios.
The last few days I have been searching like you wouldn't believe it.
And I just can't find a page where they have a picture of the lastest version of Fleet Command(rerelease about 2008-9).
I have the disc and the cover it is in right here in front of me.(the latest version that is)

I installed the game as normal, then set the compatibility mode for windows 95/98, (right-click on desktop icon, go to properties, click on compatibility tab, then 'check-box' of "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then click the drop-down box, and select 'windows 95/98'.
then installed the update - The 1.38? update. (not for win XP, and I didn't use the win XP installer update).
I have it running on windows 10 on an Asus Rog Strix laptop. The intro's are a bit choppy, (enter to skip) but the game seems to run fine. I haven't checked if all the hot-keys work yet, but I can play the game - so far.
