View Full Version : Fire a torpedo with 688(i) SNN

I’ve bought recently “Dangerous Waters”.
I have a problem to fire the Torpedo with the 688(i)SSN
Once the sonar or the others sensor detect and degniate an hostil unit, in the fire control room the unit don’t appear on the list on the Top left, I see only “Snapshot”.
I don’t understand.

Hey mate,

Do you designate the target 'surface' or 'subsurface'? That might be a reason why the torps won't shoot?

I believe this will also happen if you have truth on.

I think you need to have the contact classified as Hostile (as a minimum) in order to target it. :up:

Please check "Show truth" is not on. At present, this is the only way I can think that no contacts show up in fire control. You can engage contacts designated as unknown allegiance or hostile. I'm not sure if it lets you engage one that is allied or friendly, but that doesn't really matter here.

It's in the Options menu, or you can right click the Navigation Map and it should be under 'Layers'.

Show Truth - by default: CTRL+SHIFT+T (works only on map F5 or in game options)
