The latest update says they plan going into beta #1 in June for Kickstarters, and then a beta #2 a little later for everyone. Can't wait.

Also a name change from UBOOT to UBOAT. Personally I'm sadden by this, but totally understand the change.

According to a recent comment there is now a paypal option on the main campaign page. I am hesitant to use it though as I don't wanna just pay for one of the pledges and not receive it.

That's correct, we will keep this game in beta stage until beta testers will be satisfied with our game. As long as I suspect it's going to be disappointing for some, there is no other way.

Proper beta testing is something I always wanted as a developer and I'm happy that it's finally happening. All Silent Hunters were released with major bugs and UBOAT has even larger surface for that considering that crew is dynamic and more interactions are happening in the world on the map.

Yes, we are going to publish a short form to fill a month after Kickstarters. It's going to be more manageable this way.

The goods are being delivered in Europe as of early January.

The updates from the devs can be seen on the kickstarter web site and on the game facebook page.

They have to ship to North America, Jan-Feb timeframe. I wonder if the border guys are working (Trump shutdown), to let the shipment in.

I'm in Canada, so assume our games will ship along with the US ones. Waiting, like everyone else.

I read the steam page discussions, but even then not much official info. I understand that it's only a few developers, but the marketing is honestly horrible. It seems like the only ones keeping the interest alive for this game are the people complaining about the lack of updates (I agree), or the people justifying it. You'd figure the publisher would be putting out media, but they have said what we've all heard too many times regarding this title, "soon". The current rumor is still Q1 this year from what I can tell. I think there's a line when it comes to being cautious about putting something vs waiting too long. If they stayed on the proposed (revised) timeline of early access by the end of last year, I think most people would be more accepting of issues with the game, but as it is now I think when this game does get released that the goodwill has been used up.

According to Matt on their Discord they have sendt over a release build to Q&A for testing. If it passes it will be released as soon as possible as early access.
