Seawolf class Jimmi Carter has returned to base in Washing state twice now flying the jolly roger. Speculated this represents a successful covert mission.

My apologies to the Navy folks. Because of history I just imagined a mechanical arm hovering over a field of peanuts deep in the ocean. I did restrain from mentioning "Billy Beer".

The speculation is about what the mission was, coming into port flying the skull and crossbones after a successful mission is an old submarine tradition dating back to WWI -- somebody in the British government made a speech equating German u-boats with pirates, the British submariners said "oh, we're pirates, are we?" and ran with it, and the tradition spread to the USN.

Also this boat was operating in the Pacific.
