some tought:

- ships are sinking way too fast...
- ships are always sinking in one piece, titanic sunk cut in half...
- subs sink always put nicely on the floor ... or so...
- discovered that subs going veeerrrryyyy deeeeeep are shreeded, witch is fun, but subs hit by torpedo should have more way to die ( shredded, cut in half, losing parts, being cut a half diving another going up ...)
- helo flying time should be cap, refuel should be needed

This is a PC games, we might be able to deal with more "FX", some pieces from sinking ships could sink faster or stay afloat...

Good thoughts. Agree there needs to be more verity in surface ship damage as others have also suggested.

The current patch "e" attempts to correct a bug where vessels which land on the floor inverted could remain active seems to indicate lying flat upright on the floor is not always a given in the sim. Historically and in real live, almost all ship wrecks (even the titanic broken in half) land upright because they are DESIGNED to be that way as part of their natural surface buoyancy and sea worthiness. The "V" or "U" shape of the hull acts as a wing while sinking so as the speed of the sinking increases, like the dyhedral of an aircraft wing, the ship tends to "fly" upright. Ships are weighted to be bottom heavy, not top heavy. One characteristic of ancient wood ship wrecks is the large number of stones piled up used as ballast in the bottom of the boat to prevent capsizing. Expecting a significant percentage of wrecks to have other than an upright settling might be interesting, but likely not realistic.
