Hi,

I recently installed SHV, updated to 1.2, and then successfully installed TWOS 2.0 and the update. The game is working fine so far. I'd like to change the UI to SH3 since I played that game a lot and liked the look of the UI better than SH5. Here is what I tried but nothing changed in game:

I used the Options File Editor and opened the following file:
/Silent Hunter 5/MODS/The Wolves of Steel 2.0.0/data/Scripts/Menu/TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py

I then clicked the UI tab and set the UI Style Used in game to "SH3 Style".
I then saved and exited.
But when I go in game I still see the SH5 UI?

What did I miss?

Thanks so much!

What did I miss? You need to disable the mods first.

Ah ok thanks.

So first I should use JSGME.exe and remove all the TWOS mods, 2.0, 2.5, and optional mods.. Then make the changes to TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py for sh3style, then re-enable the mods and start game?

Do I have to use GenericPatcher.exe again after making the changes, same way I did when I first installed TWOS

Thanks!

Hi m00d
You can change the OFEV anytime your game is not running by disabling all the mods.
As the main mod is in the number 1 position it has to be all mods disabled.
The patcher once the gps file is restored you do not have to touch it unless you want to customize your map colors.
I have a tutorial for this.

I recommend You guys to use simple Options File editor instructions contained within TWoS documentation. Described procedure does not require mods deactivation to apply your changes unless you've messed up something and you want to restore default twos settings...:salute:
