Night vision?

After having watched a few YouTube videos and seeing some screen shots on this site, everyone's night vision in the periscope looks like night vision... illuminated in shades of green...

For some reason my night vision barely illuminates the hull of the ship only and the rest of the Periscope view doesn't change. It seems to happen on all subs. I'm playing on a mac. My video/graphic game settings are watered down a bit.

Any ideas or anyone with a similar issue. ???

In options, do you have color filter on?
That is needed to get the best effect for night vision.

That was it, thank you!!! My macbook is about 9 years old so I had to lower the graphics to make it run smooth.


Thank you to Killerfish for making this game on mac as well. Your dedication and continued support of your products is not something we see much these days.

Out of curiosity, is the color, saturation, etc defined in files we can get to? For instance if I wanted red night vision instead of green.
