I'm kinda amazed they published the number of owners of the game.

Usually that's kinda a secret with most companies.

that's cool, but the disparity between the numbers and some random crap like colony survive or kindergarten shakes my trust in mankind to the core

That site is called Steam Spy for a reason.

Unfortunately the Steam Summer sale just commenced and all those heavily discounted titles have pushed Cold Waters way off the charts overnight.

But I hope you're nevertheless are satisified with the sales figures, at least to me they don't look bad at all :)

@Neal: Maybe you tell Sonalysts, that obviously there is a market for modern sub sims ;)

:O: Sonalysts? Who's that?

Steam Spy can only estimate the sales but I am happy to see the game doing well. I always like to see people rewarded for their hard work and quality production. It would be wonderful to see the game go on to sell 200,000 copies and Killerfish would have resources to expand their team and tackle even bigger subsim projects. That is the Subsim golden dream.

That's wonderful news as I can't wait to see what you guys have in store for us down the road with regards to DLC. This is easily my 2017 game of the year.

Subsim of the decade!

Thought it'd be a rather bittersweet award, thinking there's been little competition, but actually CW beat a good number of games.

Sub Commander (2013)
U-Boat Simulator (Android game) (2013)
Steel Diver (2011)
Danger from the Deep (2010)
OpenSSN (2010)
Silent Hunter V (2010)

It would be a contender in any decade. Definitely right up there for my game of 2017 overall and this year I played quite a few across multiple genres and platforms (PC, PS4, iOS and Nintendo Switch) - it’s been a good year for gamers.

This is one of the few games where my wife is prepared to watch and help out. At present her role is to call out soundings during tense torpedo evasion maneuvers. ;)

I really do hope this gem gets the recognition it deserves. Soviet DLC please! I would like to throw more money at you. :)
