I got a rather embarassing question:
How do I resupply at a base?
I tried to sail to them but nothing happens.

I also encountered some bugs:

As the mission was starting, I was not detected, not cavitating or anything, all of a sudden I got pinged by 4 different vessels.

Just out of the blue. Is that intentional? It hink not.
This happened multiple times now. The just start pinging.

My sub was destroyed, I abandoned ship but I still had my sub in the next mission, the damage controll read 100% damage yet I could attack and sail with it untill I got destroyed again, 2 lives so to speak.

I really love the game, but it still is rough around the edges.

Maybe you can help me.

Rearm/repair only ay Holy Loch IIRC. Sail next to it and anchor icon should appear. Click it.

Make sure your game is up to date (1.02b)
(Should happen automatically on STEAM)

Your base is denoted by a Green Square (Holy Loch I think it is called)
This is the only port you can dock and resupply at

Regarding detection when starting a mission

There is a really, really important thing to consider when travelling on the Campaign Map - this is not covered by the tutorials

There are two speeds you can transit the campaign map with

If you left click on the mouse you will be hauling azz at flank speed (I call it transit speed)
If you right click on the mouse you will be travelling at patrol speed

This makes a massive difference to how any encounter with the Soviets will start

If combat starts at transit speed, you will be dropped into the mission at 25 knots, they will already have a good idea that there is something out there, and will probably be banging away with their active sonar.
You are already at a massive disadvantage

If combat starts at patrol speed, you will be dropped into the mission at 10 knots, they probably do not suspect anything, their active sonar will probably not be active (although there is a chance)
Now you have an advantage

If combat starts when you are stationary on the map, you ambush them.
You will be dropped into the mission at 5 knots.
They should not have a clue you are out there.
Massive advantage

Try to anticipate enemy movements and ambush wherever possible - otherwise you are gonna have a hard time :03:

Stick with it cookiemonste
It's an awesome game, and just gets better with experience :D

Good hunting mate :salute:

And another answer

If you abandon ship above escape depth (I think that is 600 feet - will need confirmation from somebody) - there is a chance your crew will get rescued and you will get command of another sub

Also, just because the enemy is pinging doesn't mean they've detected you. They're using pings to try and find something.

Seconded

I have experienced this as well :)

Thanks for the replies, it was just odd, I was doing 10 knots I think.
Does not matter, know I know more.

But my bug was still odd.
