Donation Narwhal...

Donated, got the new Narwhal. If I remember correctly a version for TMO RSRD was made, I once had it. I see a lot of conflicts in the one I have with upograde upc files etc.Does anyone have that version(if there is one)

No. It's ducimus' "chop-shop" version, but it is close... We are working on converting the donation Narwhal to FotRSU, but haven't done anything other than look at how complicated it is going to be... :lol: We'll manage, but have to get a "set" mod just yet... We're close, but not quite.

As for the question Bubblehead1980, there are three parts to the mod:

I experimented with them in another thread somewhere close by that I can't find right now, and I do not remember the installation order if you use #3 above, whether it comes before or after the TMO support, but I think it's after... maybe... It does not say anything about RSRDC support with that, but RSRDC does change quite a bit in the CareerStart and Flotilla.upc files, and you'd probably have issues there... maybe lurker_hlb3 made a version??...

Thanks for replies. I deleted some files dealing with flotillas etc so didnt conflict with RSRD.Enabled donation Narwhal, working great so far.

Really is beautiful boat, cant wait for more patrols. Imagine evading depth charges, especially in late 43 and beyond is a real challenge, I know she dives slow, one patrol plane nearly got me. although I goofed on my patrol lol, had to insert an agent in Manchuria and tried to head there at ahead standard like do with other subs in TMO RSRD. Did a lot of diving to avoid planes, remain undetected, and follow the doctrine of early 1942, as well as battery recharging(which takes forever) and is quite a journey there.After dropping agent off, sinking a merchant encountered just inside the Bohai Gulf, dodging a destroyer in heavy fog(see patrol stories thread shortly) and trip back, fuel tanks were bone dry lol had 3 miles to spare according to the navigator when made it to Midway to refuel en route to Pearl Harbor. :haha:



One thing I would like to do is rearrange the crew compartment, add a crew berth like subs in TMO and make it so both stern and bow planes are manned , not just when at GQ(old leftover from stock boats I suppose,always drove me crazy) but I have no clue how to do this.

The real Donation Narwhal has the impressive 6" guns. The quick patch Narwhal made partly with Ducimus' kit bash I've seen people doing in 'older' threads don't have the big guns, they do have what looks like the Donation Narwhal, however with 4" guns.
