Not sure which one to get

Hi been long time since I played SH think it was SH2 was the last time I played it

I'm getting a cheap pic just to play the game not sure of the specs of SH to buy any help be great

The specs of the pc I'm looking at is



dell vostro 200 tower pc intel duo core 2.2 ghz, 4gb ram ,320 gb,harddrive,dvd/cd writer wifi, windows 8 ,17inch dell monitor, keyboard, mouse and speakers

Graphic card? Your PC seems a bit limited for SH5 TWoS.

I think you should get sh3 with those specs and it will run fine


you "can" run sh4 with the v1.5 uboat ad-on and it will run "ok" but im sure there will be situations of slow frame rates with it.

sh3 is the german U-boats against English warships in the atlantic and sh4 is the US fleetboat subs against Japanese warships in the pacific theater

at some point im sure you will get a better computer so I would suggest you get sh4 with the ad-on (the gold edition comes with it) and then also get sh3 as well.

they really are two separate games so they are both good to have.

as fitz mentioned, you cant run sh5 with such an old computer so that ones out and just personally, I have it, but im not that impressed with sh5 at all and don't even play it, when I play its sh4 with ad-on

Ah thank you I think I get SH3 for now and maybe look to get more powerful gaming pc

Get rid of the Xbox as I only play world of tanks on it ( shhhhh don't tell anyone )

So my thinking is get better PC and then I can play both of the games on PC :)

IF you buy a new computer you absolutely need SH5 with the TWOS mod.
It's a great game, and if you in a german u-boat you need german voices and not english voices!!!That is what you have in SH4 :up:

Ok well I took the plunge and got a high spec pc very top end ram processors and
High graph card

But it runs windows 8 is this ok for SH4 and SH5

yes that will do fine, the operating system doesn't matter as long as you have good specs

Thanks specs are top of the range as now going into pc gaming rather then Xbox thanks for your help I go ahead with the purchase of the PC

Really can't wait years since I've played this game really can't wait to get back into it
