Here's what I love about the latest FOTRS Ultimate Beta: the graphics are simply amazing. I'm making an attack run on a IJN Task Force bearing down towards Manilla in Dec 1941 with one slight problem: The torpedo fire button doesn't work.
Has anyone else yet to experience this as of yet? This looks to be a bug which I am wondering what the file path of the torpedo firing button will follow via code or which files are used so I could possibly copy a fresh series over from a prior backup copy I have.
Please advise.

Happens to me all the time, I always get open and closed backwards. :har:

Torpedo firing in FOTRSU is completely stock. No changes have been made in the stock configuration. Now, if you are firing with the keyboard a change has been made and you will have to fire with ctrl-enter, not just the enter key. This keeps you from wasting torpedoes.

Like Bleiente mentions, you do have to open the tube doors first. Cycle through the bow tubes with the <W> key, the aft tubes with the <E> key, and open them with the <Q> key. CapnScurvy's kuhl keyboard diagrams are in the "root" game directory, and are quite useful...
