View Full Version : LSH3 stuck - can't transfer

Using LSH3 2015, I've completed the first mission, returned to base, but when I apply for transfer, I see either of these messages:
"Base changed to "NULL""
Or "Approved".
(I have to exit the game and restart from various saved locations to get back to this screen again)
But the base never changes, I spawn in at Straslund every time.
WHen I see the "NULL" message, I can click anything I want and nothing happens, I have to CTRL ALT DEL and kill the task.
Also, when looking at THEBERBSTER's really great tutorial regarding this, I see he has only one option, to transfer to the 2nd flotilla. When I do it I see 1st, 2nd, and 7th available.
Any ideas? I'm using SH Commander and checked a box something like "use historical available dates" .. something like that.
Does SH3Commander interfere with this?
I've played this MOD before without any problems. I don't remember doing anything different.
Any ideas if stuck in Straslund?
Thanks!
Jeff

Hi Jeff
Not sure what your problem is here.
When you get "NULL" message, it is telling you that there is not a transfer available and you have to CTRL ALT DEL and kill the task to get out of the situation.
Having completed the first test mission this problem should not happen.
Let's just run over a few things.
You have done the tutorial in the naval academy with just the LSH3 base and Gui mods?
You must not make any changes in the Office before starting the test mission!
You returned from the test mission before the finish date?
You used the transfer phone after docking?
You must only request flotilla 2.

Thanks for the response THEBERBSTER!
Let's see,
I did the tutorial in the naval academy but it was after all of the mods; I don't remember if it was before I ran SH3 Commander..
I DID make a change in the office before my first mission, I am in a Type IIA U-boat and I changed the two stored torpedoes to electric torpedoes.
Yes I returned to base before the date.
Since I only just started, I will simply start my career over and go right into the first mission as you suggested without making any modifications to my sub.
and we'll see how it goes.

Thanks again THEBERBSTER, everything is working fine now! :Kaleun_Cheers:
It was this:
"You must not make any changes in the Office before starting the test mission"
so at the beginning of my first mission I went into the sub improvement area and traded out two of my torpedoes (in the game that messed up).
.. after I started a new career, I went right into the mission without doing anything else, finished the mission, and came back and was able to transfer!
Now I'm off to the war!
Thanks again! :Kaleun_Salute:

Hi Jeff
I did the tutorial in the naval academy but it was after all of the mods; This is a mistake as you should only active 2 mods maximum.
The Naval Academy sets up your V15 game save folders.
Before you do the Naval Academy the V15 folder is missing.
As your test mission is only to sink 2 merchants changing torpedoes is unnecessary.
Some gamers do not sink any ships as this adds a false total to their careers.
Each crew member receives 1 bonus point this way.
The drop down box in SH3Commander should offer you a VIIB as an alternative to the IIA (Ref my tutorial 11 picture 3).
IIA's were only coastal boats and is not really suitable for your mission to Rockall Bank.
