Dear fellow submariners,

First a message for the moderators: I looked for a solution for my problems for quite some time, but nothing in the bug-report threads seems to describe my predicament. I'm not sure if there is a thread for these issues, but if there is, please move this thread into the proper place.

Anyway, after some time being absent from SH5, I recently came back here after GWX and SH3 some years ago since the game has improved much through the involvement of all modders, making this sim simply remarkable if it runs. However, I'm experiencing some problems now which for the JGSME/SH5 newbie as I am are quite difficult to solve.
Let me describe the configuration I'm running first:

Running windows 10
Steam version of the game
steam fix of sh5.exe to allow TDW_generic_patcher

Which I assume is not the most generic way to run the game bug-free.
I am experiencing two issues which are making the game rather unplayable, both of them related to save-games in one way or another I gather:

Faulty savegames that immediately push the campaign date forward to the next chapter (e.g. from coastal waters to happy times, etc.) This seems to be related to cpu-load as this happens mostly in harbour, but removing special.cfg from the savegame folders after uplay sync solves the problem to some degree (try and try again until the sim runs).
Since running the environmental mod 15 my boat's bow keeps being afloat when starting a new patrol. This is a particularly vague one, so let met describe what happens: 1. Load a savegame from an old patrol (before installing the environmental mod): boat levels off nicely when submerging. 2. start a new patrol, boat is at 30 degrees with the bow above surface level and unable to dive, no matter what dive plane angle or boat speed.

The former occurs regardless of mod configuration given WoS 1.05, except update 15 seems to reduce it occurance somewhat. The latter is a secondary-like sad one since this mod lifts the game up graphics-wise from release date to 2016: It looks spectacular. I'm just not sure why an environmental mod would break up the game physics.

Therefore, I was wondering if you could look at my mod configuration, attached below. I've played around quite a lot with the order of installation nevertheless any advice would be very valued. Haven't tried reinstalling yet by the way. Should note that I followed the WoS guideline on installing TDW-patcher.

So bottom-line, did anyone here experienced the same issues as above and if so, is there a way to fix them in some way?

Cheers

NB: I tried the depth-keeping mod to see if it has any effect, but sadly, none : )

You do not need the depth keeping mods if you running generic file patcher application with the enabled TWOS snapshot.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. O-well! Regarding my first issue, is that something that alot of you are experiencing?

Hi TV
I would say all your issues are mod related that are not compatible with TWOS.
I have done over 150 games with TWOS and never had a problem.
Check out the FAQ's on the TWOS Post #1 as it gives you a good understanding of what you can and importantly cannot do.
The game is very stable as long as you do not do stupid things.
