How To Get German Voices With The Uplay Download

Disable All Your Mods Before Doing This

And BackUp Your Silent Hunter 5 Folder!


Step 1: Navigate to your Silent Hunter 5 install path.

For Uplay this will be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Silent Hunter 5"

Step 2: Double click on the "Data" Folder, then go into the "LngGameData" Folder, then "Voices" Folder and finaly go into the "German" Folder.

Now you should be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Silent Hunter 5\data\LngGameData\Voices\German"

Step 3: Right Click and Click Copy on the "Data" Folder.

Step 4: Now go back to the Silent Hunter 5 Folder and Right Click paste it there. Overwrite all other files.

Step 5: Enable all mods previously disabled else start the game and enjoy German Voices.

But, maybe you should have used white font colors instead of black. I think that most of people use dark forum theme and like this letters are almost invisible...:yep:

This method doesn't work as the sound file in lngdata folder is not complete.

All voices add by the 1.2 patch are missing.

Thanks for the advise succerpunch.

All I did was copy the 'Speech' folder out of \Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Silent Hunter 5\data\LngGameData\Voices\German and placed it in the ....\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Silent Hunter 5\data\Sound folder but first I renamed the original 'Speech' folder therefore I didn't overwrite anything. i also copied any additional files that were located in the renamed 'Speech' Folder and pasted it in my new 'Speech' Folder.

Works great.

It seems that with the German voices, the mouths of the characters don't move any more.
