Just a quick survey to find out the issue of stuck campaigns
Open to all users using any mod/s or none

If anyone does not know what the Vecko workaround is - please see link below

My campaign progress works fine

(I now see you might mean for TWOS users: I am using my own Mod list and the OSI.exe "stuck tonnage bar" fix.)

Thanks Katze:up:
No I mean this to be open for everyone to report.
The issue with the stuck tonnage bar should effect all users.
What I am interested to see is just how widespread this problem is.
I am very surprised that for some the only way to fix is to go though that whole palaver as linked above

The "whole palaver" is actually 4 files copy/paste and 3 lines long tweak of code and for people who couldn't trigger campaign transfer correctly using OSI.exe tweak, this is the only way and, in my opinion, it's certainly better than unheard-of instant jump from patrol to bunker (or maybe even jump to bunker while in the middle of the convoy engagement with stock OHII tonnage requirements?! Yes, I remember that, that was really silly :haha:)

I'm not sure what kind of revelation you're expecting to get from this thread but you'll hardly get it because Subsim is not very busy place these days. The result can be misleading , I'm afraid...

In order to understand what is going on I would suggest you to start your campaign and test it using "Change days in bunker tweak", just like I did.
I'm sure you'll understand pretty quickly...:yep:

EDIT:
Why ther is no "I used Mama's OSI.exe tweak to trigger campaign transfer" option, or something like that?

Katze, did you manage to trigger CW to HT campaign transfer using OSI.exe tweak and what OS do you use please?:hmm2:

I am looking to see what people are doing to progress their campaign. Just like the thread states.

They way I see it is that in game this can happen in one of three ways - like the option reflect

I don't follow:hmmm:

Can someone just tell me what happens?
I assume that you are stuck in the same career (1939) (game not working)
or
You jump to campiagn screen and continue all ok

EDIT:
Why ther is no "I used Mama's OSI.exe tweak to trigger campaign transfer" option, or something like that?

Well if you have done this then you campaign will continue as normal
If you have not then you will be stuck in 1939 forever

I'm on Win 7 Professional 64bit.
I was part way through CW when I applied the OSI.exe priority fix. I progressed through Happy Times and am now in Mare Nostrum (~July.)

During the last campaign when the bug first appeared I had good results by loading my latest saved games twice (see explanation below) when I first started a gaming session to get around the bugged tonnage bar. Worked right through from Monsun Groupe to end of campaign (Final Years).

(More detailed explanation: At the start of each session I would load second to last save game, wait until it loaded fully, and then load the latest save which loaded much faster. I assume somewhere during the first load that data that was lost because of the entire game loading at the same time as the save, but as we see the OSI.exe probably didn't have time to be accessed = no tonnage bar.)

What about just one campaign with secondary missions as new campaigns .

Thanks Katze - this is very interesting and something to look at with the save games:up:

Ya Sober - if not other better fix comes along, this could be the way forward.
I wonder what will happen with your save game size etc. (altho ending patrol within campaign reduces save game size)

Ships, equipment, ports everything I can think of can be set by date (all within one campaign). Each time you end patrol and start a new one - game updates most:hmmm:

Tried MaMa's OSI.exe fix first but it did not work on OS7.
Used Vecko's fix to move from Total Germany to Happy Times no problems very good instructions.

Only done it once but on June 6th, a little late, it triggered HT.

Hi Coldcall

Thanks for the feedback:salute:

I have been looking at your save games and every ship you sank was recorded correctly by date. Your tonnage record (for promotion points etc) are also correct.
It will be good to compare this to Peter save when he ends his patrol:yep:

When your campaign ended (at sea) it was triggered by date. The date was a few days late - this is odd and gives me hope that for some we can factor this in so all campaigns end by date.

Not sure whether worth mentioning but just before the end of campaign screen came up, and it teleported me back to base, Uplay popped stating I had completed Coastal waters. So the transfer was driven by Uplay, or so it seems.

So having reinstalled TWOS I raced through Total Germany again. This time HT campaign came up right away on June 2nd as I was leaving port on final TG patrol. Itīs as if now I have reached HT once, the game recognises it very quickly in subsequent campaigns.
