Do the mods affect the 4g patch?

Kind of a general question. If I understand correctly, some mods change the sh3.exe file (or is this not correct?).
If that's the case, do I run the 4G patch before or after these mods?
It seems that the 4G patch also changes the EXE file.

Am I not understanding these things correctly?

4GB patch adjusts the .exe as does h.sie's hardcore fixes but I'm unaware of any other mods which play with the .exe.

H.sie's hardcore fixes also applies the 4GB patch so you can ignore the standalone, and someone with more knowledge will probably be along soon...

Which mods are you concerned about?
