I was wondering if one of you veteran modders that have replaced songs for sh5 could enlighten me a bit. (I've only played vanilla and recently started WoS and I'm no modder...)
Judging by the soundtrack titles there seems to be 4 types of dynamic triggers/themes based on the 3-4 tracks for each of these categories: "Begin", "Tension", "Stalker" and "Battle" - I'm assuming this is pretty easy to implement into the game by replacing audio files, or even telling the game to play new ones. eh? I guess my question is what are all the in-game dynamic triggers? Clearly all "Begin" tracks are non-combat. Not sure if "Tension" and "Stalker" tracks are triggered the same or different ect.
I am thinking about composing some orchestral music, a bit more intense than the original score. Debating on the use of any synthetics. I like the original score. I like the das boot music in WoS and all the radio/phono options. But they do not mesh well imo due to massive differences in audio quality, perceived loudness ect.
Anyways I'm feeling inspired and re scoring this game would be a nice project to practice composing and production. I'm probably posting this prematurely.
