Hi people,

Iīve been using NewUI 7.5.0, and just now I discovered that I can edit its settings using the editor viewer on my Silent Hunter 5\Data\Applications folder.

However, I canīt modify the options with the mod active using JGSME.

Is there a way that I can edit the options without deactivating 7.5.0 from JGSME then and activating it again?

Tks!

EDIT: it seems that NewUI 7.5.0 is not saving my setting when I change them in-game (like TC and messages settings, and displaying all the instruments from TDC when Iīm using the periscope or UZO)... Any help?

Not necessarily...Editor can be used without any problems If you show it the path to the files of interest in you main data folder (Menu.txt and TheDarkWraithUserOptions.py), like this...

Silent_Hunter_V=E:\Instalirane igre Win7 -2\Silent_Hunter_V
LastMenuTXT=E:\Instalirane igre Win7 -2\Silent_Hunter_V\data\Menu\menu.txt
LastOptionsFilePath=E:\Instalirane igre Win7 -2\Silent_Hunter_V\data\Scripts\Menu\
LastChosenOptionsFilePath=E:\Instalirane igre Win7 -2\Silent_Hunter_V\data\Scripts\Menu\
ClientAreaWidth=1237
ClientAreaHeight=746
LanguagePackInUse=E:\Instalirane igre Win7 -2\Silent_Hunter_V\data\Applications\OptionsFileEdi torViewer\LanguagePacks\English
SH5InstallPath=E:\Instalirane igre Win7 -2\Silent_Hunter_V

The only difference is that you have to edit only one tab at the time and then save and close the editor...Then start it again and so on...:yep:

Thanks people!

At first I was a little overwhelmed by the number of options to choose. However, after 30 minutes or so I was able to get what I wanted, so I donīt think that I will meddle with the editor for a little while!

I'm of the mind set to deactivate the mod, edit the options file editor viewer, and re-activate the mod.

Can I do this underway or only in the bunker? Moreover....can I do this in a bunker or port other than my home port? Took some damage that I need repaired and will not be going to home port to fix it. Would like to edit my file then.

Hi finchOU

Post #124 JSGME Saving A Mod Profile Tutorial 1 Of 4 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2225341&postcount=124)

By creating a mep file you then disable all your mods.

Make the changes to the Options File Editor Viewer.

Copying the mep file back enables the mods again.

Hi finchOU

Sorry, my mistake, I forgot you are using TWOS.
A mep file would have no benefit.
This is useful if all your mods are individually showing.
In TWOS of course they are not.
