GWX Weird Crash

The game crashes if i try to start a career in Kiel in a IIA, but not at Willemshaven in a VIIB. It crashes when i go to start the first patrol after the loading screen, but just before it fades in from black inside the sub.

Can't figure it out. I clean reinstalled the game. Installed GWX without any other mods or even any GWX optional mods. Same thing, crash just before getting into the sub.

Could it be something to do with that port? or maybe the IIA?

It's not the port, or the sub. I run that boat in GWX all the time.

When you did the re-install did you clean the registry first? There may be residual pieces of files that are messing things up. Also, did you completely remove the SH3 folder from the Documents folder? That is where your old games are stored.

It's not the registry. The only thing of importance in the registry is the path to the install location, and that is mostly for the uninstaller.

As for the save files, yes i deleted the folder. But it wouldn't matter anyway because i never actually created a save.

Basically i installed the game. Patched it to the latest version. Installed GWX. Run the game and tried to start a career from Kiel = Crash at the end of the loading process. Run the game and start a career from Willemshaven = No problems. Try it from Kiel again = Crash.
