Hi subsimers!!
After as my friend and comrade Alex Wise (many thanks to it, as well as being yet another comrade Alex Kovall for help in optimizing the u-boat to the game) began to spread their work here The types VIIB,VIIC,VIIC-41 from 1939 to 1945 (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=212557), I immediately started to modify them. Of course, a lot more has been done (the other turms still in the process of creation), but at least the appearance of news by Wise and I will update this topic. Everything in the new assembly is the same as in earlier compilation (the same commands and functions), the only thing added is the raising and lowering of the ROD Antenna key combination shift+a & ctrl+a. I rebuild two mods (FM_NewInterior_V1.0 and FM_NewInterior v2.1D) file NSS_Uboat7_RR.dat (now in the compartments present sailors). Alex Wise helped in the creation of skins and some textures with emblems (all found in a separate archive). Modification touched and additional turms (also in a separate archive). In general, try and successful hunt .........

It haves a commands Eng cfg file...and I think there is the mistake or the issue that makes the CTD !:up:


Some entry there is making the CTD ...I am checking it but now with the DEV of My own Mod my time is shorter !:hmmm:

Ah okay!

But anyway I don´t believe that a cfg file do a ctd! I think that´s impossible!

I want to report a problem. Am sorry i can't type a screenshot (win 10 don't allow) --[pressing prntscn -paste to paint but nothing--in previous windows versions it worked].

Except black hull i have a transparent turm.

Installation order
German U-Boats Compilation 2 (only VIIB & VIIC models by WISE)
Skin U-458 VIIC-Ahnenerbe

Run the campaign-i saw the results ( see above) exit the game and enabled
7c-1940-similar-U-96-Weiss but got the same

A week ago i had enabled "The types VIIB,VIIC,VIIC-41 from 1939 to 1945" had the same --no solution and enabled "German Uboat Compilation with no prob

Please help

Changing the cfg files is only for assigning the u&ctrl key fur uzo instead of ctrl&n.
For this u have to replace the cmds.

Another issue that i had was with my deck gun. Needs calibration, aiming at the target and the sell goes 200-300m left. how can i fix it?

Thanks again to the people who are working on this amazing mods! :)

I found some unusual effects after installing this mod. I play GWX 3 and the models look absolutely fantastic. I wanted to start a fresh career and I encountered that my crew does not get fatigued at all (I know there is an option in silent hunter commander to turn it on or off but I dont have shc installed). The second thing is that when I was selecting my crew in careers barracks , I was out of renown and suddenly renown went minus :D which is not a bad thing , but its kind of unusual ( taking a credit out of bank I guess ) the third is that crew medals changed back to stock silent hunter system . My modding knowledge is limnited so I want to ask you if I can change base.cfg file back to gwx original one , without effecting on this amazing mods functionality?

I will be thankful if anyone can help me :salute:

I use that combination, but the hull of the Type VIIC its still seen black. The FixAllSubGWX patch shows the same problem...

The type IX shows black food boxes, and the UZO of the type XXI doesn't appear when i activate it.

In all models the radar doesn't work.

There are a way to fix this?

The wise uboats have another new 3d model type, so all old skins do not work. Also because of the not finished towers 2,3 and 4 you get this black deck problem. But only for txpe VIIc and the connings.

The wise uboats have another new 3d model type, so all old skins do not work. Also because of the not finished towers 2,3 and 4 you get this black deck problem. But only for txpe VIIc and the connings.

Whenever I take a screenshot my PC freezes. However, my VIIB (1941) has periscopes without the "twisty" thingy, but my VIIC has it.

Interesting in Anvar's Photo of Med Boats the first ( top ) Boat has a Correct Mediterranean Turm ( extended Wintergarten to near the Galley Hatch with a Ladder ) But does NOT show the Added AA Weapons that all VIIB and VIIC Boats Had installed in First Port of Call. This Turm was used for the Addition of Two, Twin 12.7mm Breda SAFAT AA Heavy Machine Guns added in the Med Only. They raised into Firing Position in 27-30 Seconds at first by Pulley and Cable, then by Druckluft ( Pressure Lift ) connected to the Boats Air Supply. Would be Excellent if these Turms and VIIC/2 Turms whick also included these additional Weapons were added for us Med Players to have Historical Boats. I included a Small Pic but could not find more yet. ( this picture shows 3 mounted 1 Single?

So now you ask, why is this..........?

The difference is U-45 d is launched using SH3Commander.
U-45 e is launched without SH3Commander.

So I tried a little test. Using an independent install of JSGME from within SH3C dir I enabled these two mods;

1] SH3-Commander U-boat Skin Pack 2 (only VIIB & VIIC models by WISE)

2] VIIC Skins (SH Cmdr)

I tried enabling both mods together and each independently, however this still leads to the dissappearence of "45" on the turm :hmmm:

It does point to the fact however it is a SH3C problem, whet exactly I have no idea, for your information the file structure in, VIIC Skins (SH Cmdr), is not quite correct, however I did correct this and both mods seem to correctly be enabled into their correct places.

However as you can see, if you open;

SH3-Commander U-boat Skin Pack 2 (only VIIB & VIIC models by WISE)\SH3 Commander\Date\19390801\data\Objects Turm7b_1_hd.dat

Using S3D, you will see there is no 'VORKRIEGS Node'

If you have tried loading only the mods I suggest;

Using the 4GB patch and also trying to launch the game using the SH3.exe only.

If all these parameters are met, and you are still crashing I can only think it might be a corrupt mod file :hmmm:

Try maybe only loading;

Try not using Hsie patch for the moment!

See if this works.

Indeed, however if Hsie patch is installed incorrectly, there is a chance 4GB is not installed correctly either. I am in the process of creating a fresh install to check some things.

I realise there are some ship mods among a few others missing (I do not have them to hand). But this works!

I had to install the 4gb patch independently of the Hsie patch.

My guess?.... 4GB patch is not installed correctly. Just a guess.

The Stiebler patch is an addon for the Hsie patch;

"Finally, let me emphasise to those who will attempt to make the patch: Start with a fresh copy of SH3.exe, newly patched with H.sie's V16B1 patch-kit (available on this web-page). Do not make any alterations to your new file at all (do NOT use the provided Options Selector at this stage), before you apply the Stiebler4B_Patch kit.
1. Take a legitimate copy of SH3.exe
2. Patch it with H.sie's V161B according to his instructions. Do NOT make any changes to this patched SH3.exe.
3. Use the file SH3.exe created in (2) with the Stiebler4B patch-kit.
4. Now you can use the Options Selector to determine which mods you want ON or OFF."

Also I didn't realise you were operating a 32 bit OS. This is probably why you are getting a ctd. The 4GB patch only works with a 64 bit system. In your case you will need the 3G switch.

I can't pass by, since, in the heading the mod my nickname. But..
I use nothing from the list, which is specified.
I am not familiar with this mods and I don't know that at them inside and what for they are intended.
Their essence I can only approximate assume on headings.

I just started a new career and installed your uboat compilation 2. Gotta say the boats look fantastic! I have found a problem though. With this mod installed, the shortcut keys for the radio room (F9), deck gun (F10) and Flak gun (F11) are not working. Works fine without this mod. Only other mods I run are GWX 3 and your 1920x1080 wide gui. Any idea on how to get those shortcuts back?

I'll ask a few dumb questions.


1. Which directory is the game installed in? It doesn't like being installed in c:\Program Files (x86)\.. It should be installed in a directory path that isn't protected by the OS, and it should be installed and run as admin.



2. Which OS? If Win10, you should be running the game in Win7 compatibility mode.

1. It's installed in my Steam folder on my E drive.
2. Windows 7. I've tried both no compatibility mode and WinXPSP3 mode. No go on both. It is set to run as admin.

EDIT: I've got it working in Naval Academy but every time I try to load my save it fails. Still fiddling...

EDIT2: Given up for now. I've started from scratch three times now and re-downloaded all mods to make sure I didn't get a corrupted download. Got my save back to a loadable state and I think I'm throwing in the towel for now. If anyone has any ideas I'd be happy to try them.

It can’t work on save game. You have to start new career.
And if it works on naval academy, it should works with new career :yep:

Yep. Best-case, *always* install new mods when in port. Worst-case, save games are incompatible.

I assumed he knew to only install while in port.

Strange, using magui, I can't use rise uzo command so it doesn't appear mounted, but if you pick uzo icon it works and show uzo screen.... Any idea why this happens? It's right by me, but I wish to know the reason. Is magui 3.4 ws with caws(but far as know caws don't modify command only chafe menu ini entries

Ok, I moved above command to the Watch-Officer (re-wrote the text to "Watch_Officer" ...) - no change.


Then, I took that command completely out - again, no change.

Strange, using magui, I can't use rise uzo command so it doesn't appear mounted, but if you pick uzo icon it works and show uzo screen.... Any idea why this happens? It's right by me, but I wish to know the reason. Is magui 3.4 ws with caws(but far as know caws don't modify command only chafe menu ini entries

When the Uboat surfaced the binoculars had to be carried up from the conning tower and mounted. When the boat dived the binocular was carried below, as they were not waterproofed.

Ok, I moved above command to the Watch-Officer (re-wrote the text to "Watch_Officer" ...) - no change.


Then, I took that command completely out - again, no change.

Let's see the source. I did not find the Ace's post where it says that there is a limited number of animation files that can be used without duplication. It can be a crew + flag (which is logical).

when you use the uzo command the uzo didnt spam (3d model) but if you get the uzo visual from lower icon in magui, it let you use it. As far i know i shouldnt work that way, you should click over the 3d model to see the uzo screen. Or mybe i understand this worng in the past, it have been a long since i read it.

Yes, the Stand alone mod was written for GWX. I'm using it with CCoM10.


Perhaps, this is the reason why there is a link between the Crew on deck and UZO?

You can easily turn off the Look through UZO when it is not on the bridge.

Many thanks to authors of this mod. That is the great stuff.

There is one minor bug with rudders on the U-boats. They don't turn correctly. Has anyone else experienced this? Or am I the only one?

P.S. I've fixed this rudders for myself by editing .dat files in "/Submarine" folder. But i wonder why wasn't this bug reported earlier?

Comment on your screenshots. U-Boat moves forward/back turns left/right Propellers rotate in one direction, etc.

I have Toyotagt86 mod. He use TKSS18 U-boat Compilation Annenerbe U-boat models.

This issue affects only the Wise's VII U-boat models.

Дело в том, что об ошибках с рулем ранее уже сообщали в другом треде (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2482588&postcount=424). Также там сообщалось о проблемах с гребными винтами.
В итоге (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2506135&postcount=445) винты, которые были взяты вообще с другого типа лодок (9 тип, если я не ошибаюсь) были заменены на новые, созданные с нуля. Рули также были исправлены. Но эти изменения так и не были опубликованы на Сабсиме в виде патча или отдельной модификации.

С тех пор мод активно развивался на русском форуме КСД 2, и претерпел значительные изменения по сравнению с версией мода опубликованной в первом (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2345937&postcount=1)посте. Сменилось даже название мода: теперь он носит название "U.-W&S_VII_Series", оригинальная версия этой новой модификации вероятно была утеряна вместе с переездом форума на новый домен.

Единственное что осталось это патч для данной модификации "U.-W&S_VII_Patch201812" опубликованный (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2585102&postcount=206) ранее на Сабсиме товарищем Анвар1061. Помимо добавления потоков воды на лодки, рубки и перископы, он также исправлял проблемы упомянутые выше. Проблема в том, что данный патч не совместим с версией мода, опубликованной в первом посте (https://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=2345937&postcount=1), который не обновлялся с 2015 года.

Стоит упомянуть о том, что даже с этим патчем данная версия мода не будет актуальной. Актуальная версия этого мода есть в сборке GWX Reworked RUS (https://brat01.mybb.im/viewtopic.php?id=259) от Анвар1061.
Так что если вы хотите получить новые модели семерок, новые модели рубок (VIIC/2, VIIC/3, VIIC/4 a.k.a. U-Flak), новые модели перископов, новые модели сенсоров (радары, шнорхели, антенны), новые модели орудий, вымпелы и флаги для лодок, построение команды на палубе, и многое другое...

i have some issues with those squares on the front, on my boats they are sitting on top of the conning tower to one side????

Many thanks! I was able to get this model working for Fifi's NYGM enhanced mod. Took me some time to get the sensor files right but for now, its working fine!

Greetings! Yes, Im encountering the same problem with UZO as well. Ive tried switching Shift+U to Shift+N as Ahnenerbe suggested but its not working since Stiebler's fixes already has TC mod with Shift+N key...I don't want to get rid/modify Stiebler mods within NYGM since I fear of messing up the game...Guess Ill try other ways, will update when I figure things out :up:
