Hello every body. Here is my problem : in data/Env, there are 3 different files for each sea : Atlantic, Arctic and Mediterranen. But in game, colors are the same in these 3 seas : only the Atlantic's colors are applied. Does anyone know where the problem comes from ?? :hmmm:

In Env.cfg, I have this :

[Environment]
SeaTypeImageDimX=4320
SeaTypeImageDimY=2160
LandIDX=255
DefaultSeaType=0
SeaTypesNo=1

[SeaInfo01]
StartDate=0101
EndDate=1231
SeaInfName=SeaInf.raw
Compressed=NO

[EnvColors]
SeaType00=EnvColors_Atl.dat
SeaType80=EnvColors_Med.dat
SeaType150=EnvColors_Arct.dat

[SkyColors]
SeaType00=SkyColors_Atl.dat
SeaType80=SkyColors_Med.dat
SeaType150=SkyColors_Arct.dat

Is it correct ?

afaik, i remember people saying that is broken but never checked it.

try setting at SeaTypesNo=3

if the above doesn't work ,another thought is to set again at SeaTypesNo=3 but ,also, rename the SeaType00,SeaType80,SeaType150 to SeaType00,SeaType01 and SeaType02

ps:it is very possible people to allready have tried it thats why they were saying that is broken but you never know if you don't give it a shot

Thank you Makman, I've tested your solution, but there is no improvment.

But I have maybe an answer here : http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showpost.php?p=310067&postcount=6

I don't understand well, as I don't use SH3 Cmdr ... :-?

Hi Fahnenbohn,

it works pretty well - look at SH3_Commander. SH3_Cmdr has three different sea types: 6 normal types, one special type for the Mediterranian and one for the Arctic. Have a look at the "Flotillas" in SH3_Cmdr.

6 normal types ? Are you joking ??! :o

By the way, what's the relation with the flotillas ?

Sorry, i mean 6 flotillas with the "normal type". In SH3_Cmdr the 29. flotilla and 11. flotilla have differnt ENV.cfg to simulate the sea in this regions.

Hello
it works in the single missions. Try, for example, Convoy PQ 17 or ALARM!

IIRC they work but they will never change when you sail from one to another even if you dock during your career on a new base.

OK, I understand.

Yes, it seems logical. But if you change of Flotilla ?

You mean : with SH3 commander, i suppose.

No, the SeaType value is saved in the single MIS file.

But, it still doesn't work. For example, when I'm starting a single mission which takes place in the Mediterranean sea, I still have the Atlantic's colors !
