Who has a qualitative model NDD_Fletcher?

Do you mean, a better model than the one used in SH3, 4, and 5. With true flush-deck hull?

I cancelled the project 2012; lost interest because Fletchers were not used (much / at all?) in the Atlantic.

Oh ... the Frog ! What a pity ! It looks so beautiful ! You are really a great model maker ! Could this unit not be your next project for SH3 ?

PS : I never imagined that it was possible to create so precise models with Wings 3D ... How do you have an exact scale ?

Fahnenbohn, as stated, I abandoned the Fletcher project.

It's possible to do scale models with Wings3D (I may ask in return, why not?). Either place the scanned plan on an image plane, fit it's size to the correct scale by using the internal scale of Wings3D; do not forget, the scale of SH3 is 1:10. Or just prepare the hull (or the entire model) with the plan whatever size it is, then scale the final model to the real lenght in meters dvided by 10 (e.g. Le Fantasque's hull is about 132.4 m; so it's SH3 size is about 13.24 lenght units).

I didn't know that, thanks for the explanation !

Scaling of an object in Wings3D:
Highlight the object in question, click right into the geometry window, choose "scale uniform", hit the tab key, enter the percentage you wish for ...
Or (better), highlight object, click right into the geometry window, choose "absolute commands", then ".scale", then either enter the desired x, y, z dimensions or enter one, e.g. z (lenght), then link all dimensions by by ticking the "link" boxes ...

I've found this album : http://destroyerhistory.org/sumner-gearingclass/0_allnum/692allenmsumner_01.html

Very nice photographies of the class Fletcher destroyer.

The USS Norris DD-859, out of Newport Rhode Island, was my first sea assignment after finishing radioman school at Great Lakes USNTC in 1959.

Are you a sailor ?

That picture is her. But the hull numbers were larger. Your picture had the wartime size numbers.

Yes. 11 years US Navy (1959-1970). Can not imagine not being a sailor. But I do not cuss like one. :)
