I plan to update the WAC and want to know what mods this update should have?

I wanna see those mods in GWX too.
It's a pity that GWX Team have gone and nobody develop this project now.

I like to see in WAC 5 an special version of the new (WIP) MaGUI U BOOT HAHD. Please contact Makman for that :up:
Also, there is a lot of ships with scripts by Wreford Brown. Nice to see the ships and planes included in the new version.
What about the Wise&Kovall Type VII and Type IX new models (they are better than SH5)? Contact Wise to that :up: Please!
New Lorient port mod is a must have for Type IX boats in Flotilla 2.

-Ziczacing Layers For Vessels and Convois? (they are all to easy to find!)
-Raising or lowering speed of ships when sighting Uboats or Torpedos?(Besserer Ausweichkurs),
-More (or better the most) Marchants armed with guns also at the beginning and the earlier wartime?(Churchill gave a order to arm all the marchants to avoid surface attaks of U-Boats!just after war starts!) Or did they hit themselves,especially in Convois?
-More allied Planes with the correct range?(Better modelling of the gap in the Atlantic in way the war goes because i do'nt remember being attacted
by planes out of the coastel waters,but this is perhaps my Problem,never played a campaign after 1943.
-The Convois are'nt big enough because I read in books that Convois containing more than40 or 60 marchants;in SH3 I never see a convoi with more than 20-24 ships!
Is someting of this possible because of limitations of hardcoded or the system requierements?

Maybe Ma GUI. Did not compare the WS Mods until now. Only worked on the new interiors.
What so you mean with these scripted ships?
New Lorient I have to see... Cause WAC4.1 was already released with many new realistic ports.
New 3d models from wise.. I also have to see. What are the improvements to wac4.1 models?

Zickzacking convoys with changing speed are already included in wac.
Better escape AI is maybe hardcoded.. Maybe stiebler or h.sie can solve this
Atlantic gap is a good idea.
Bigger convoys is possible. But will definately ne cpu intensive.
Have to look what convoy sizes are in WAC now.

Some Drumbeat boats shelled oil refineries in Venezuela coast and Aruba (not many destruction, BTW). Interesting sites for destructive buildings.

But...Aces never did a compatible Super Turms for FM Interiors 2. Only work with FM Interior 1.0.

Hmm, but what have "Turms" (= outside the Boat) to do with Interior (= inside the boat)? :hmmm:
Maybe it is only the cameras.dat that must made compatible, should be not a big problem! :03:

No. Remember Aces adds some stuff in the conning tower interior when the boat dives (machine guns, helmets, etc). This changes the interiors. If you use Aces Super Turms and Interiors v2, you will have some problems. No CTD, but some graphics elements will be missed. With Interiors v1 Aces did the Aces Compatibility...etc mod.
Also need, of course, an adjust of cameras.dat.

If you want to improve visual aspects, it would be so great to change waterstreams on U-Boots : i find them to small and too transparent. They would be much nicer if they were as on this picture :

Eye-candy is even good,but:
More guns on Marchants? Especially single marchants! This would be great because it avoids to much surface attaks on marchants,for my opinion I'm not a pocket-battleship:)! Even Churchill forced this in !939.Pehaps it's possible to raise the speed of ships being haunted by subs with a better course to avoid torpedo inpacts? Such a vessel would send a radio massage too,so some help will arrive in some case...planes or destroyers.
The game is really good now,but i think there can be more violence against U-Boats even at the beginning of war.Remember there were lost a lot of subs even when the war starts(more than in WWI).
Also remember there were grid points convois getting support groups from iceland and planes should be able to patrol so far away of their bases as their range is,not only in coastel waters.
I missed this in all the mods I tasted,perhaps it's my desire because I'm not able to reach the later years,only late-1942.
Is the neutral shipping for the allies there now,unilluminated?
Perhaps you could put more music in the grammophone?
And you think it's possible to put more ships in convois?
I think my computer will eat this in the moment!

I am very glad to see you will be updating this mod, especially sense the new LSH3 wasn't all I was hoping for. I think u should include ultimate air and sea mod by wrefred brown.

Could I suggest you something HanSolo ? I think you shouldn't add mods which have already been released by other people, unless it's necessary, for compatibility problems with WAC 5.0. And even for compatibility problems, you may just explain how to edit the concerned files, and not join them in WAC 5.0.
I'm especially thinking at wise new 3d sub models, which are huge files to download, and maybe not everyone would like to have (although it's a great addition, sure).
Add only real NEW things !

TDW has a tool that may work. It's in the SH5 threads. It only exports 1 mesh at a time last I looked at it.
The only other tool that can extract both the standard texture mapping and the AO mapping is kind of a black bag thing. (RAD Games was not happy about it)
It extracts ALL the meshes in a GR2 file in one shot.

I'm familiar with the black bag thing, but from my experience it doesn't export the texture files along with the obj file. GR2 editor does. Am I missing something? But exporting 1 mesh at a time (1 .obj file) isn't necessarily a bad thing. Keep the .obj smaller and easier to structure and control. How do you extract the uv2 files from the black bag exports if they don't have an AO uv2 .obj file? they just export 1 object file.

It is a beginning. I just have issue with .uv2 mapping is all. If I can import that into S3D, then everything else should be within my sphere of knowledge. I'd love a complete VII interior!

I know this is a minor improvement, but I have replaced correctly all the Type VII-C zones, using some authentic german plans. Thus, there are much more realistic damage depending on the position of the depth charges' explosions.

Mmmhh... that was not my first intention for the near future. That was just a (successful) test. But if I have enough time, I'll inform you.

It adds the Keel-Zone to the Zonefile. And it worked really well with GWX.:hmm2:
