Does anybody have a link to the 1.2 patch that is "unpacked?"

I'm one of the sad bastards who is trying to update the Gold edition to patch 1.2 but can't find a patch. Someone once said to use an unpacked version and provided a link, but that has long since become defunct. I have the UPlay Gold edition and it only goes to version 1.1.5. Any ideas? I know this is a dead horse to many people, but all my searching so far has turned up nothing.

Unfortunately the link is dead. You can try sending a PM to Volodya, but again it may take several weeks before he reads your message, as he hasn't logged in on subsim since the last month of June.

I suppose you have already tried running the updater manually (C:\Ubisoft\Silent Hunter 5\Support\GameUpdater\GU.exe). Don't you?
I reinstalled the game recently (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?p=2330423#post2330423), and with some manual tweaks, now the game works flawlessy (v. 1.2). I own the CD version of the game. Gold Edition or not, it shouldn't make much difference in therms of game updating.

Thanks Gap, I got it sorted out. Your reminder about using the manual update is what got me patched. After that I was able to successfully install the Wolves of Steel mod and start my first campaign. Now to reacquaint myself with the gameplay!
