Hello everyone, I've recently decided to try my hand at the Silent Hunter series. I've read a lot about them, and a lot about the problems the 5th one has, but I decided anyway to take the plunge. I'm eagerly awaiting number 5 in the post and seek some advice for when it gets here.

I am looking for the most immersive experience, and I don't want to have to rake through hundreds of mods to achieve the this and the minimum of bugs. I've noticed there are the megamods available. So my question is what would be the best way to start? Which megamod would you recommend, considering I am after the most immersive experience. I like a challenge too so looking for realism.

Thank you!
