I added a broom to my S-boat, here is a link to the files: MEDIAFIRE (http://www.mediafire.com/download/hzwa8wk5buxiijd/clean+sweep.rar)
It's just the S-18 conning tower, but a modder can just extract the .dat file in Silent 3ditor since I did the hard work of getting the .obj model into the .dat
Cheers!

A "clean sweep" for a naval vessel refers to having "swept the enemy from the seas," a completely successful mission. It is traditionally indicated by hanging a broom from a mast or lashing it to the periscope of a submarine.

Very nice! I want it in my Harry Potter's boat.
I will try it in a Gato class.
Many thanks!

Credit where credit is due here! This tradition no doubt stems from the action of the Dutch admiral Maarten Tromp (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maarten_Tromp) who tied a broom to his main mast after defeating the British admiral Robert Blake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Blake_(admiral)) at the Battle of Dungeness (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Dungeness) in 1652. This has often been interpreted as a message that he would "sweep the British from the seas". This story remains unsubstantiated, but may have its origin in the tradition of hoisting a broom as a sign that a ship was for sale, which seems more likely as Tromp had captured two of Blake's ships in the battle....The following year, the English admiral Robert Blake (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Blake_(admiral)) supposedly attached a whip to his mast as a symbol that he had whipped the Dutch off the sea. [wiki] http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c8/Maarten_Harpertszoon_Tromp.jpg/640px-Maarten_Harpertszoon_Tromp.jpga master of the 'clean' sweep at sea ADM Tromp; and first to use line-of-battle tactics in a naval engagement known as the Action of 18 September 1639.

Nice work james_nix.
Although, the broom model was already in the stock SH4 equipment files. Why don't you try to get those Radar Covers to work over the stations when the boat doesn't have the Radar Units operational? :D

Really??? :/\\!! I killed myself getting that model in there! LOL
Oh well, at least I learned somethings along the way.
I really want to put a katana in my sub interior as a souvenir, but that is proving way more complicated than a broom!
I like to play pong on my radar screen!

Yep, no matter how its done, getting your feet wet and trying something is the modding bug that bites. Learning something along the way is the icing on the cake.
