Maybe someone knows, where to download this soviet icebreaker? Nautilus42 doesn't appear on the forum for two years... I have never seen this ship up to this day:

Icebreaker Stettin was seen in the LSH3, but the soviet icebreaker had disappeared...

There is another interesting model of the soviet icebreaker in the "Soviet Waterway" mod for SH4, maybe someone from our masters will be able to convert it into SH3?

The same icebreaker:

It would be quite nice if even convert auxiliary cruiser "Comet" from SH5 to SH3:

Then we could register in the campaign files ice transition of this cruiser with the soviet icebreakers in the summer of 1940

Hi radiator,
it's good to have a well sorted HDD. The sovjet icebreaker and icebreaker Stettin - both by Nautilus42 (aks Trainer1942) - you can download HERE (http://www.mediafire.com/download/kwo6g12h02ull7a/Eisbrecher.7z).
The sovjet icebreaker from the SH4 super-mod "Sovjet Waterways" was converted bei "the_frog". Perhaps he still has a version und you could ask him for download.
The last one - the "Komet" - is not only a SH5 model, it's embeded in the "Sovjet Waterways" too - in a better version (i think) than the Ubisoft version.

Hi, Rowi!
Thank you very much for the answer and for the yellow soviet icebreaker, I didn't expect to get it so quickly!
And thanks for the info, I'll write "the_frog" now, I hope he has kept this ship :salute:
If we talk about the "Comet" - what do you think, who could convert it from "Sovjet Waterways" to SH3?
I have never done it and don't know how hard it is... Is there any hope that someone finally do it?
Hi radiator,
i think i can do it for you. Lets say until the end of this week.

Hello,
saw the thread before but didn't manage to answer (had to check the files).
As Rowi mentioned, I converted A. Mikoyan 2 years ago (documentation file entry is January 2013). I also edited the mesh, UV mapping, and messed with the texture. The result:

For reasons I forgot, I never relased the mod. Radiator suggested to do it now :salute:

The equipment is basically that after the US-refit during the famous around-the-world-trip. However, some eqipment is from the gunsVAA_Liliput.* library files, which are NOT included. However, they are rather old, and so everybody should have them.

Thank you very much for this wonderful ship!
It is a very good that now we have three icebreakers for the game
Hi radiator,
it takes some more time. The SW-Addon-model couldtn't be converted into SH3 - although i used al "tricks". I'll try to convert the original SH5 "Komet". Hope that works.

Hello Rowi,
again the problem with SW 3D models that drove us mad several times before?
If yes, try to import the *.obj into Wings3D, "separate" the model into its submodels, save as *.wings, then re-"combine" the model, export to *.obj. Works with almost all SW models.
The Mikoyan model even required complete undoing and then re-doing the edge splitting. I did it using Meshlab and Blender. After that painful exercise I gave up converting SW models.

Didn't kovall convert the Komet at one point?
:hmmm:
Hi the_frog,
i did it - but no result that is worth to be uploaded. I exported all OBJ elements, opened them with wings3d, saved them and import them into a clone of a well running ship. Same results - some times it works (Stock SH3) but mostly it doesn't. Deleted all channels and reduced it to pure Stock SH3. No positive results.
Hi Jeff,
i've searched Maik's FTP-Server but i could not find such a ship by kovall. And - the last chance would be "Sukhoi-Forum", but that's out of duty since more than a year. :wah: So i must try to do it myself.

Hello Rowi,
ohoh, seems the Komet model suffers from the same problem as the Mikoyan model. I know how to solve it but as mentioned that is no fun; I won't recommend doing it and I won't do it myself another time ...
Yes, better start with the SH5 model.
I think I have a complete collection all models Kovall converted but I cannot find the Komet. As far as I remember, he actually extracted all SH5 models but just released a few.

Oh, guys, how difficult it can be a simple (it would seem) thing...
I spent at the "Sukhoi-Forum" a lot of time, there was not a "Сomet", 100%...
Now all hope for you guys, once again to wish you good luck! :yeah:

if any problems extracting from SH5 files?
Just let me know.
:03:
Thanks for your help, my friends,
i think i'll try it - got it with other SH5 ships, planes and other stuff. If not i'll cry for help here :help:

Master Rowi, it seems, so busy working on the upcoming release LSH3 V6, that just forgot about us, probably :hmmm:
Don't worry, life has taught us to be patient, we will wait :salute:

Guys, if there is still hope that we'll ever see "Comet" in the SH3...?
