Does anyone know how to get the Radar working?

After the first mission of "Happy Times", I was able to get a radar unit in an upgrade.

It was working well and quite useful until I had a run in with a Destroyer. The radar antenna was taken out and destroyed during the engagement.

I have since returned to base three times, ended the mission and then went through the process of upgrading various weapons, sensors and paintwork.

After costing 2000 renown points each time, it shows that the radar is fitted and shows in the boats systems screen that it is fitted and is 100% functional.:hmmm:

When I start the patrol, get on the boat and look at the front of the conning tower, the antenna is still missing and the radar nonfunctional! The sleezy character at the dock has swindled another 2K for nix!:nope:

BTW it's January 1941 ingame. I'm not sure if basic radar was available then, but normally I don't think it shows as an available upgrade and take your renown points if not available by date.

It is too early in the war for radar.

i believe the hand held one is an early type of air radar.

If you are using the mod Equipment_Upgrades_Fix_v1_4_Patch_1 Hotfix_2 (without date) then it will cost you 2000 renown but you may not actually get it.

When you are in the bunker It will continue to show that you have it even though you do not.
